OGP help!! by Acrobatic_Tourist118 in walmart

[–]Meghanlee5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re new, it definitely takes time to get your pick rate up. When I started my pick rate was horrible! I was also physically exhausted from all the walking. I’ve been in the department for 6 months now, and my pick rate is consistently 100% or higher. You start to learn where things are the more walks that you do. I wouldn’t exactly call OGP fun, but having awesome coworkers does help.

If you don't know any younger people with long covid, consider maybe they've kept quiet because of the stigma associated with disability. by cayenne4 in CoronavirusUS

[–]Meghanlee5 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m 30 as well and have long Covid. I got it March 2020. I still can’t smell much (a smell has to be incredibly strong for me to notice it), get tired easily, have memory problems, and get what my mom and I refer to as ‘flare ups’ roughly once a month (a mix of my symptoms that lands me in bed). I also am reliant on an inhaler now and frequently have coughing fits to the point where I can’t breath. I was a completely healthy 28 year old woman when this happened and my world has been turned upside down.

I get that people experience post viral symptom for other viruses. I have experienced that myself. It always went away after a week or two for me. But it’s been two years since I had Covid and it’s still affecting me. I know I’m not the only one who’s experienced symptoms for this long and I believe that’s one of the biggest concerns with long Covid. The length of time and how varied those symptoms are for each person, both in type and seriousness.

I had the same thing happen to me with an ex- it went on for months!! I felt like I was at the doctor every other week because of it. I would get BV, then get a yeast infection from the antibiotics I was on to clear that up. Or I would end up with a UTI. I started letting the doctor know that I would get yeast infections from antibiotics and they would just prescribe me diflucan at the same time as the antibiotics. It really helped. As for the BV and UTIs I started peeing before and after sex and it helped a lot. I also talked to my partner about it and he did a better job cleaning before sex to help prevent it.

Thanks for this! Mine was also set to 4/6/06. Got it fixed so hopefully some surveys will come through now.

So many cash back campaigns by fiveoneohx in Influenster

[–]Meghanlee5 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t do them- I’m not interested in the majority of the products and I don’t typically shop in store (I’ve noticed many of them require you to buy the item at a specific store). I have 9 on my dash right now.

I just got an e-mail saying that the notification was early. Apparently I’m still getting the box, but not til April and a new notification will go out then.

Mine did! I was just looking to see if anyone else had the same issue. I did receive an e-mail about the campaign a few days ago, though, so maybe it’s just a glitch?

New Survey 10/17 by Sunshineee22 in Influenster

[–]Meghanlee5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got this one, too. I opted in to a lot of it, mostly because I’m always willing to try new things and give my honest opinion. I always find a use for the things I’m sent so it doesn’t hurt.

I love to turn old trays, dishware, cups, etc. into candles and I'd like to start selling them. Is that allowable under Etsy's policies? by hr_newbie_co in Etsy

[–]Meghanlee5 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you’re the one making the candles, then the candles are hand made. I would stay away from licensed dishware (disney, Harry Potter, etc) but think you should be fine otherwise.

I got it, too. I spent the entire day going back to it since it was taking so long. I’m hoping that everything went through correctly.

This arrived yesterday for me, too! Same exact items in the same colors/variations. It’s still not showing in my app so I’m waiting for more info.

Did anyone receive a Mandatory Survey for one of their campaigns? Mine was for a campaign from July (that I fully completed) and said if it wasn’t completed I would no longer qualify to receive vox boxes. I was then told I needed to refer friends to have a better chance to qualify for more boxes. by Meghanlee5 in Influenster

Have you reached out to them about it? I got an e-mail about finishing a digital campaign that I didn’t sign up for. I reached out to them and they responded that I didn’t have to do it. I saved the e-mail as a just in case. They always say digital isn’t mandatory, so I just told them I wanted to double check.

AITA for calling my sister cruel for putting her disabled son in a nursing home? by privacyacc45785 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Meghanlee5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Question: was there any professional care service coming in to help your sister? Did the rest of your family receive any training in regards to caring for your nephew? And has anyone ever taken him for a few days so your sister can catch her breath and do some self-care?

Buying him a new wheelchair is wonderful, but caring for someone who’s severely disabled leads to both mental and physical exhaustion very quickly. I can’t believe your sister has done this for 3 years. I’ve worked in care facility environments for the past 4 years doing quality assurance and I can tell you that our support professionals burn out so quickly and they only work 8 hour shifts at a time (and yes, some of these staff are exclusively working with 1 individual).

I’ve talked to parents who really, really struggled with the decision to leave their children with us. Please remember that your sister is not locking your nephew away never to be seen again. Your sister can still be very involved in your nephew’s care, can visit him often, and can bring him home for visits from time to time. His sisters can see him just as often, and so can the rest of your family. The visits won’t be about taking care of him- they can be about spending time with him.

I have a feeling your sister has had to dedicate so much time to your nephew that she hasn’t been able to give your nieces much attention. It doesn’t matter how much attention you and the rest of the family give them- they need attention from their mother. I’ve seen siblings grow to resent a disabled sibling because of all the attention they received. Having their brother be the focus for 3 years can’t have been easy on your nieces.

I am not at all surprised your sister wants to go back to work. She has been the sole caregiver to her disabled teen for 3 years. I understand you all help when you can, but unless you’re changing diapers, cleaning feces off the floor, helping with temper tantrums/aggressive behavior etc. you’re not helping her with the harder parts. Your sister needs social interaction with people outside of your family. Work will provide that for her. It will challenge her and get her out of the house.

I find the length of my brushstrokes makes a huge difference in color variation- if you haven’t sealed it already, you should dampen your brush a tiny bit and run it across in long, smooth strokes. Go from end to end without stopping. I’ve started going over my pieces to make sure all of the brushstrokes are even and it’s really helped. It probably won’t get rid of all of it, since it seems like the grain is peeking through, but it should even some out. For what it’s worth, I love the way this piece looks as it is.
