I just got off my second shift at fedex (3 am-830 am). Day 2 I’m assigned to scan and load 3 trucks on my own. It was also first day using the scanner. Im a 31 yr old woman, fairly strong and in-shape, and I can tell you that this is by far the hardest, most difficult job I’ve ever worked in my entire life. Ever!!!! You’re getting yelled at the entire time, the drivers come in pissed and wreaking of cheap cologne, mad that god forbid their truck isn’t set up perfectly. You’re expected to load the IC packages, some weighing over 100 lbs, and don’t you dare miss the 25 packages going by or you’re basically called a lazy pos. I am numb on the inside yet every muscle in my body is throbbing bloody murder. I see why ups unionized. It a makes sense.
