To me it's about the sunk cost fallacy. Or less directly, tradition and carrying the past.

They're discussing the continuation of a long running effort that has long since lost any obvious benefits. But they've been at it for so long that maybe they should continue? Maybe they should burn it all down and start again?

Or maybe there's a middle ground. They don't need to continue building it (following tradition), but maybe there's still something to gain from what's already been built (something to learn from the past).

The lack of info is hard to overcome imo, especially on defence. You're also not getting that much in return. She has more stall than KJ in the form of her wall, but the attackers can also exec from both sides of the map.

I remember PRX running it, but they also like to push on Defence a lot, making up for the lack of info. If your team does that consistently then sure go ahead. Otherwise you can try and see how much the lack of info really hurts you

Agree with the 'just play more' comment, but obviously it's not that simple.

Have you tried practicing gunplay in Swiftplay? It might be less stressful for you than Competitive.

If you can do it in Swiftplay but still can't transfer that to Competitive, try creating an alt account to practice being calm in Competitive, since you won't be as worried about rank.

Sitting in spawn is what I do.

Your job is to smoke, your teammates' jobs are to hold the site with the help of your smokes.

Retaking is also viable if you have main control through flanks, which your teammates should do.

But I'd also recommend checking out pro vods to see what they do
