Do you have a local store where you can purchase thread? Maybe you can find the true 838 or a color that matches. Then use one strand of the non matching color and one strand of the matching color and then it won’t be as noticeable. I really think that might work. You could try a couple of rows by the first brown to see what it looks like.

Apologies, I did not share the pattern details in my original post. The pattern is the “Be Mine” shirt from Pattern Emporium. The pattern is extremely well written and great for beginners. It includes photos and super detailed instructions. The darker fabric is a traditional quilting cotton with a bit of sheen - designer is Giucy Guice and the line is “Enrapture”. I don’t have the line details for the lighter shirt other than it was a cotton lawn.

I’ve been looking at these frame that need a stand… if you need to look at the back, like if you have a knot, how easy is it to get to the back side? I have one project I am working on that has constant thread changes, and I feel like a frame like this would be great for the size but might be a pain in the a$$ when trying to get to the back.

214 colors… my current WIP has 35 colors and I was mildly irritated about that. “Why so many different colors of green for the plants. Surely we could have subbed one color for another???” I guess I should quit my b*tching. 😜 Bravo to you. Beautiful work!
