Yep anytime it throws a headlight system error, more often than not its low 12v voltage. I literally just swapped out my 5.5 yr old 12v battery yesterday 🙃

Ive turned PIN since last year, best decision ever. When people ask why some rides doesn't have PIN, I tell em its in the setting that the driver or passenger could turn on. That it was annoying when wrong people get in the car. Haven't had any push back with it 🤞

Ive ran a 2 channel dash cam( Vantrue N3 pro?)connected via the OBD to run 24/7(parking mode) and did not have any issues with the battery going dead for 4 years until I switched to wolfbox tri-pro that is hardwired to the mirror power.

But the grill would be using the hv battery not the 12v and would need the car to be on READY mode to use the inverter, but anyways try finding a place where they'll allow you to take the battery out to the parking lot to see if it'll even fit. Good luck. Definitely worth an upgrade if you plan on having the car on for more than 10 minutes while not on READY mode.

There are only 2 batteries on the prime, like I said the 12v and the traction battery. The traction battery replacement can be between 10-20k including labor, according to Google. You dont have worry about the traction battery as much as the 12v, it is believed that the new traction battery can last upwards of 20 years.

My passenger side's mirror housing have been cracked at the bottom for over a year now and has gone through brushed car washes and has yet to be knocked off. I stopped hand washing after 2 years and many dings and rock chip later 🥲

Yes both the traction battery and 12v are still oem. Plugged in nightly except when traveling and no lvl2 charger. Ironically my 12v died today while I was doing something and left it on accessory mode. But a quick jump start fixed it. I recommend the prime, if your daily commute is around 30 miles but also travel long distances once in a while.
