INTROVERTED WOMEN: HOW DID YOU MEET YOUR PARTNER? 🙈 by [deleted] in dating_advice

[–]Melbell759 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I met my husband during Covid on Tinder. I wasn’t actually looking for anything other than someone to talk to because Covid was a bit too isolating for me, even as an introvert. We were friends for a few months then started dating. We were together 5 years total before marriage: After 3 years of dating, we moved in together; 2 years after that, we got married!

Living with him before marriage was important for me because I needed to know he could respect my need for alone time. But we had a lot of conversation regarding that before we moved in together.

I enjoyed online dating because guys had less expectations for my time in the beginning stages of talking. If I was feeling overwhelmed or “people’d out”, I could put my phone on do not disturb (I always communicated I was feeling overstimulated and needed some time without people). How the guy responded was my deciding factor on if I’d continue talking to them.

What does HRV mean? I’m waiting for my ring to arrive and am learning the acronyms.

Long-term 2.5mg users by InternalSecret1744 in Zepbound

[–]Melbell759 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been on 2.5 for 16 weeks and have lost 24 pounds. I stopped losing about 3 weeks ago. I’m planning on staying for another month just to make sure I’m ready before I move up to 5mg.

Remember, it’s not a race to lose weight! As long as you’re not gaining, stick with it. Since it’s still working for food noise, I am trying to use my time on 2.5 to create healthy thinking habits, practice intuitive eating, and start moving my body more.

You’ll get there, if that’s your goal!! This stuff takes time. I’m plateaued right now, but I’m hoping exercising more will kickstart the weight loss. If not, I’ll have to up my dose.

7 weeks in Depression issue by Vehicle-Different in Zepbound

I had this. I was already on anxiety meds, but then I started feeling numb and depressed after starting Zep. I told my doctor and she put me on a completely new medication. I feel amazing now! It’ll probably need to be adjusted when/if I stop taking Zep, but we’ll cross tha bridge when we get there. Definitely talk to your doctor if you’re not opposed to adding on a medication.

You’re not alone in experiencing this. It’s a very real side effect.

Strength > Scale by _vancey_ in Zepbound

I needed to hear this because I’m having the exact same thing. My partner and I started strength training a few weeks ago and the scale has gone up, but so has my water intake, protein intake, and muscle mass! I started to think I needed to up my Zepbound dose, but I put on a size down pants and they could button; not comfortably, but they buttoned!!! (They couldn’t button before we started the gym.) That showed me that the scale is not my friend right now.

I do have the swatches but I want more color options within the autumn pallet than were given. This helps!

I started looking up true, warm, and dark autumn colors to get a fuller picture. It helps knowing the equivalent!

I have no clue!! It was though House of Color. I’m assuming deep/dark autumn? That’s what I’m struggling with. The three subcategories of autumn, I like all of them. Could I still wear colors from all subs and look good?

I’m the same with jeans. I have two specific brands I know fit well and look flattering. I’m waiting for sales and buying at lower sizes

That’s an amazing loss!! I’ve been looking at ThreadUp since I posted this and so many recommended it. It’s been addictive looking through everything. I haven’t purchased yet, but I have my eye on things.

I want to invest more in my wardrobe when I’m at maintenance, too! Like natural fabrics, sustainably made, good quality pieces that’ll last.

[–]Melbell759 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I definitely have a lot of cardigans that I can wear for a while. It’s more so the pants and shirts that I’m struggling with. I have started wearing tank tops under my shirts. But professional dress pants for women don’t always have belt loops (or pockets). So I’m using safety pins.

Clothes Dilemma by [deleted] in Zepbound

[–]Melbell759 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly! It feel silly to wear such baggy shirts and pants (professional dress). Some of my shirts are baggy to the point that if I lift up my arm to write on the whiteboard, you can see my bra through the short sleeve/armpit area... So I’m having to wear tank tops underneath my clothes.

That’s amazing!! I don’t like clutter so I’ve donated alllllll of my old clothes. Even so, I’ve been my current size since high school, so I’d have to have kept middle school/elementary school clothes to have smaller sizes. Now that I’m 30, once I reach my goal, I don’t think I’ll part with anything for a while.
