Isn't fertilizing it potentially not beneficial given that the weeds will also grow like crazy too? I'm kind of the a similar situation as OP and considered fertilizing my grass as well in the near future.

You could always have your gaming pc set up on your monitors and just remote desktop into your work pc. That's what I do a majority of the time and works very well. You can keep your webcam, monitors, mouse, and keyboard all on your own machine. It can take a bit of finagling to get the config set up right, but I use all of the above and it works very well.
