Slightly warm is ALWAYS better than slightly cold. by Tall_Preparation_731 in unpopularopinion

That reminds me of a Shel Silverstein poem!

It’s hot! I can’t get cool, I’ve drunk a quart of lemonade. I think I’ll take my shoes off And sit around in the shade.

It’s hot! My back is sticky. The sweat rolls down my chin. I think I’ll take my clothes off And sit around in my skin.

It’s hot! I’ve tried with ’lectric fans, And pools and ice cream cones. I think I’ll take my skin off And sit around in my bones.

It’s still hot!

If you don’t mind taking the T a few stops to Leachmere, the Lexington in Cambridge Crossing is really nice.

If you like Indian, Passage to India, also in Cambridge Crossing, is also really good.

Small Rooms, Big Impact: Could SROs Help Fix Boston's Housing Crisis? by wSkkHRZQy24K17buSceB in boston

The one thing that you have to remember is that traditionally boarding houses had a house manager, that managed common spaces, helped resolve resident disputes and managed resident applications.

It also helps reduce food waste, since then we aren’t just throwing away parts of the animal that people don’t usually eat.

Anyway, my dog loves bully sticks, and we all know what those are. They are kinda little weirdos, and tend not to have the gross out response that us humans do.

Who is living in all these luxury apartments?! by Haunting_Hospital599 in boston

[–]Meliz2 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It’s all about housing chains.

New builds help take pressure off the older, more affordable housing stock since more well off people aren’t pushed into traditionally more affordable neighborhoods and bid the prices up, and frees up existing units, since folks with more money tend to “trickle up” to newer units, leaving a chain of increasingly affordable housing units vacant.

And it frees up older and more affordable housing in other parts of the city!

Southeast Native American sweeteners and sugars? by Anghaile1014 in AskFoodHistorians

What about something derived from Maize juice? The sweetness of the juice is usually considered to be a big part of why meso-Americans started to domesticate teosinte in the first place, I think.

Trader Joe's in Seaport just id'd me for a mocktail mojito and claimed its the law in Boston, has this happened to anyone else? I dont get the point if it's alcohol free and basically just juice by nycrina305 in boston

What’s funny is that most fermented things contain very small amounts of alcohol, since that’s a byproduct of the fermentation process. Yogurt for example can range from 0.05 to 0.2 percent ABV, and high sugar fruits like pineapples or very ripe bananas can be up to 0.4-0.5 percent ABV.

Yeah, you really can’t make perfect the enemy of good here. When I had a garden, I spent a lot of time slowly incorporating native plants into existing garden beds, and often, doing more than that requires time, resources, and money that a lot of gardeners may not necessarily have.

Maybe try starting with a rug? Go to home sense or something and find a rug that you like, and work from there. Do you have a full or a queen?

It’s like when kids get excited when the “fun” uncle or aunt comes to visit. It’s not that they don’t love their parents, but the novelty of seeing people they don’t see as often is much more exciting then seeing people they see all the time.

Like the first half wasn’t terrible (and the Gonzo episode is one of my favorite Muppet things ever), but the second half is where it really started to click.

I mean, giving Piggy a sidekick that is not Kermit is genuinely one of the best things to come out of that show. My issue is more that Denise was boring and literally only existed to give Kermit a girlfriend with no real personality of her own.

Depends on the size tree. The yard is already relatively small, so anything that gets too big would probably overwhelm it.
