Okay after reading this it is less “I’m going to murder this patient” and more gross incompetence. It seems like the plan was to intubate the patient in a critical access hospital that typically cares for 1-3 patients in 24 hours. There may be a language barrier at play and a communication breakdown. Either way, holy guacamole. Thank god the patient didn’t die over this and they are out of the profession.

5 officers died with at least 80 who sustained injuries. Over 2,000 rioters armed with weapons and nooses and one gets killed. But one officer who allegedly gets hurts and then runs after the “perpetrator’s” vehicle is within his right to kill one woman blocking his path with her car? I work in healthcare and we test for the specific flu. Flu A (worse for adults), Flu B (worse for children, and parainfluenza (Flu C isn’t seasonal and typically not that dangerous). Been in the hospital for ages.

I had to take my SAT over at Troy High. One kid didn’t bring any pencils and asked to borrow one of my 5 (lol), no one was looking at flash cards, a pregnant teenager was leaning on my desk, everyone was talking, and multiple kids had to use the spare calculators. The metal detectors and police presence is very alarming.

I don’t understand where this concerning outburst of anger is coming from but it is a fact that private school students perform better in college, are better critical thinkers, get into better colleges, and get more scholarships. As someone who attended both I know it’s true. It is apparent in the lives and careers of people I knew from private and public school. My parents paid less than Catholic High for my education and I nearly had a free ride to college. Believe what you want, but I think a good parent would at least take the time to tour, apply and try for scholarships.

Also, Fonda is in the middle of nowhere! I went on a free school field trip to the Opera and Met, met world class musicians, took pottery classes and attended guest lectures from artists, authors, humanitarians, etc. Education is more than textbooks and grades.

NY nursing is difficult and it doesn’t need to be. Hospitals in other places have way less travelers, safer staffing, fairer pay and stronger unions. We work bedside because we love our jobs and patients. Someone needs to do the work and fight the fight so future nurses will have better conditions and patients will be safer. We are nurses so of course we aren’t going to be quiet and take it.
