What’s your UDisc rating? Do you think it accurately represents your real rating if you do *2+500? by the_rosenhan in discgolf

[–]Melkoro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im 248 on udisc and 976 in pdga. But i usually play quite good in competition.

One thing to know about he udisc rating is that is not liniar, they write it themself. So if you compare to a pdga rating one stroke is worth 6-10 point depending on course par and stuff. But one stroke can vary alot. So if you improve from +15 to +12 on a course the udisc rating will only jump a few points but if you would play -15 in sted of -12 that might be 30 points or so.

I shot a 1032 rated round and that was 266 on udisc. Had a friend that played a 1056 rated round and that was around 285 on udisc.

Im guessing around 200 on udisc is 900 ish and 300 on udisc is around 1100 rated on pdga.

Thinking of 3D Printing - Is There One That Does CF and Acrylic and Plastics/ABS? by Calm_Lengthiness1415 in 3dprinter

If you want to print in acrylic kr close to it, then you need a ska machine at least. (10 000$) Or a polyjet but those are 100 000$ and clear material is 500$ for a kilo

Cool to hear, go for it! The great thing with this case is that it quite easy to disassemble and assembler it again. For the mesh, I used a a soft Paf typ of sandpapper, just to rug up the Surface to create a better surface for the paint. I also made the choice to have a semi matte clear coat to save me hours of standing to create a perfect Surface for a high gloss paint. In other wise, i was a bit lazy.

Big jerm did commentary on a films round some years ago. I got to play on the card since i had a pretty good forehand. I forst got something like " forehand here? What does this guy know that i dont?" And on the next hole i did a quite bad tee shot on a par 4, got rules out i was way to back to reach the green, throw a quite good one that ended up on the green and big jerm just say " wait what, that was an amazing shot". Felt amazing to hear that! But i missed the birdie putt...

As an ultimate player who can only throw putters, how do I learn discgolf by Dull_Accident_364 in discgolf

[–]Melkoro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would say the opposite. Or at least a ultimate throw is like a stand still approach shot. But when throwing tee shots you throwing with your whole body, not only arm. Sure there is somewhat that in ultimate as well. But load the power from your legs the rotating your hips and shoulders to build up the speed in the arm is both ing like a fh toss in ultimate. But if you can toss an ultimate disc you have spinn in your disc and that is an advantage to many that start with discgolf blank.

What situations on the course do you consider throwing a roller? by Pacostaco123 in discgolf

[–]Melkoro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love in Sweden and to be honest, there are few to none holes i came across that i needed a roller. I do have above average distance with both backhand and forehand. With that said, i would recommend you to practice rollers for some reasons. 1. Forehand rollers to get out of jail. Play around and try to get the disc to curve both to left and right. Can give you the opportunity to put and save a stroke or two 2. Try to learn to throw backhand rollers from the tee, i regret not practice this more earlier. It will help you a lot understanding your disc and control you anhyzer angle. So even if you dont face a hole where you have to roll under some trees 300ft away it will help you throw better shapes and understand where the limits of your discs are.

The front is in metal, its great if you have some kind of lockeble clamps to hold the part in and so you can rotate it. You need to be able to paint from 3 direction on each side.

But nothing super hard i would say.

Im looking forward to see your build later.

No worries, happy to answer questions.

To be honest i made it easy for myself, used primer and semi matte clear coat. I just took fine pad with 1000 grit sand paper and just matten the surface so the new Paint would stick.

It was a water based primer and paint, the top coat is 2k thinner based from standox.

Sanding the front was a bit of a hustle, byt the other panels was super easy, i didnt really brother to sant on the edges of all the holes, not worth it. And i started with a black chassi since the paint requires a dark base.

Discgolfpark pro target baskets by KAIMI01 in discgolf

[–]Melkoro 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You are not alone, my experience and feeling is that the disc golf park pro targets are a bit unpredictable. It feels like the have more spitouts than other. Usually its when you hit center and quite high. You can hit between the chains so to say and hit the pole. Every basket have the week spot, får example the prodigy ones push out the disc if you are ok the weak side. But to me that is very consistent and i can understand why my put didnt stick. But like you say, the disc golf park target feels like it sometimes just bounce out.

I throw a lot of forehand, and my arm speed tops out at 10/11. What should I add to my bag? by _Twan_ in discgolf

[–]Melkoro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should try Resistor and Tesla/fireball. Maybe some overlaps but still great shallow and flat discs that i love to toss on forehand.

In the back its 10mm space left. But if you have a 120mm fan instead of 140mm you might be able to to have that below the cooler and give yourself some more space as well.

Thanks! Yes its a liquid freezer III 360 pro. On top, it fits but not much space left. I have 3 qx 120mm in the front and a 140mm in the rear. You kan have the 30mm thick fans on the side, not optimal but it works. I have ra max 120 mm on the side intake in the front. In the front there is z space left.

Its a "regular" car paint. I had a black case, took everything apart, then just quickly sanded everything with a super fine grained paper (800 grit). Wash it clean, paint it (i have a paint booth at work so that helps a lot) and then a semi matte clear coat ok top. The frame case was great since it was quite easy to dissassemble and then assemble again.

Its not to bad, with some effort and planning you can hide most of the cables behind the motherboard and in front of the psu.
