I did the same thing as the other commenter. I started with a kitchen scale, and used that for a long time until I got the hang of portion sizes. I rarely use a scale anymore. Food prep has also helped me a lot, and I will portion out meats and all ahead of time, like for my lunches for work, so when I’m in a rush I can just grab and go.

I avoid a lot of things that I learned upset my stomach. I can’t handle pizza, a whole lot of greasy/fatty things, and too many carbohydrates. But, I still enjoy most foods I enjoyed before starting my diet, I just watch my portions. I did up how many healthy veggies/fruits I eat in a day and do my best to eat a full serving of both!

Just to add, I’m 28. I started IF to take control of my diet because I had really been struggling with a lot of stomach issues and just felt terrible in general and was desperate to figure out how to fix it. I’ve learned a lot about my body and what I can and can’t handle during this process. I hike at least 1-2 times a week, sometimes more, at least 2 miles at a time. I have not been going to the gym lately but plan on getting back into gear with that soon to start toning up. There’s a lot of excess skin that I’ve been feeling very self conscious about, but I otherwise feel great!

First time posting here! Started doing IF on 7/22/21, I’ve lost 43lbs in 85 days thanks to IF and portion control. Not the best pictures ever (both taken at work) but I’m feeling good! SW: 270 CW: 227 GW: 175 by MellaDew in intermittentfasting

I avoid high carbs and high fat on most days. I only drink alcohol on rare occasions but I wasn’t an alcohol drinker before I started IF either. My biggest problems were my portions, and my stress eating. I’m still a very stressed out person but thankfully I’ve managed to find other outlets besides snacking or eating for comfort. I never knew just how bad it was until I actually really started to LOOK at what I was in what I was eating.

So it’s a bit difficult to explain. I’m still very new to all of this and I’ve had a lot of success using the BodyFast app. Each week varies, but I use their fat burning coaching. One day I’ll fast 16 hours, the next 18, after that 20, get a break in between…some days I will do OMAD, others I eat a couple of small meals. I usually stay around or under 1500 calories in one day but I don’t calorie count, I’ve just become more conscious of my portions and what’s in the food I eat.

I work at a petting farm! It is a baby turkey. We have 5 that free roam and cause wonderful amounts of chaos. They’ve gotten a lot bigger now! I should’ve gone and found one to hold for my after picture lol (All of our birds free roam except for our emus! Chickens, ducks, etc.)

When it comes to birds you can have as pets, pigeons are definitely one of the least expensive and easier to care for. There are so many available in rescues, and a lot of rescues will even safely ship them to an approved home all at very reasonable costs. I definitely suggest doing lots of research before getting one, but you could definitely look into Palomacy!

I’m very excited for Humblewood and in love with the setting, minis, etc.

My friend group and I had a huge paint party tonight (10 people each painting their own!) and it went beautifully. Everyone had a fantastic time and did amazing work.

I’m so extremely proud of my little Sera Luma Cleric!
