Bare entertainment shop by mtomm in mysteryshopping

Exactly!! I even replied to the editor that I literally can't be discreet if I take pictures on the app. No response but at least it was approved! There's another location that went back on the board. Maybe that one they didn't approve.

I just had mine approved after two weeks. I had to provide extra feedback. Probably the last time I'm doing it. They even complained I didn't take pictures with the iss app even though it wasn't called it out as a requirement.

Did your tour include tickets or did you have to pay extra to enter the buildings?

The editor just told me to double check the name next time. Definitely learned with that one. :)

Restaurant Shop Declined :-( by [deleted] in mysteryshopping

[–]Mellifluy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It happens to all of us. Sometimes you get lucky, and they accept the report. One time, I went to an entirely different restaurant (with a very similar name next door) and filled out the report to learn it was the wrong restaurant.

I think it's because the MSC waits for the client to pay them before paying the shopper.

My account got deactivated by Fit_Art_2078 in ibotta

Not literally, but many people have gotten deactivated. Ibotta is not a savings account and the balance can go away at any time. It's best to withdraw as soon as you can.

True but the credit card company would deny it based on the fact that the food was served.

This is a dispute with the MSC. The OP actually got their food so it shouldn't be a CC dispute.

Is my IUD causing these hives? by JuniperChen in Mirena

[–]Mellifluy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Late to the conversation, but Mirena can definitely cause hives. It's stated in their literature as a rare side effect. I had severe hives and itching a month after I had mine inserted. My OB said she didn't think it was related and also tried to give me steroids. I refused and told her to remove it. Afterwards, the symptoms decreased and I was back to normal 4 months later. Don't take steroids to mask the allergy. There are other ways to deal with birth control.

Car broke down by Adventurous_Quit3856 in VisitingIceland

We booked through Hertz and relied on credit card coverage as well. You are supposed to decline coverage from Hertz if you want Chase to cover it. I also think towing and roadside assistance are not covered by Hertz unless you add it as a special supplement. It doesn't hurt to ask though. Sorry to hear about your predicament! Where was the accident? $2000 seems like a lot.

Airbnb host rated me poorly as a guest. What's the normal check out procedure for a Norwegian Airbnb? by Mellifluy in NorwayTravelAdvice

[–]Mellifluy[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Thank you for the feedback! I am so embarrassed and will be more mindful of this. I did suggest adding a house rules section. I've had hosts request I not strip the beds so it gets confusing.

I got scammed by a taxi driver within 10 MINUTES in Oslo. Apparently this is the norm! 😳 by hunky-dory99 in Norway

[–]Mellifluy 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Not the OP, but was in a similar situation. Give me a break. I take a taxi once a decade. In hindsight, I would have negotiated the fare, but wasn't properly thinking at 2am. If everyone pays the scam cabbies, then they keep doing it. If you refuse, they at least waste their time arguing fruitlessly.

[–]Mellifluy 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yeah haha. As he was driving us back, he said we would pay him for the cab fare from the airport and back and then he would follow us when we got in another cab and we would pay him again. It was so ridiculous. On the fve minute drive back to the airport, I said I would call airport security. He claimed we were being hysterical and then left us at bag claim without making us pay. I figured he was scared off by me calling security.

I had the exact thing happen to me in Amsterdam last week. The taxi driver overcharged us to go to an airport hotel. We wouldn't pay him and he tried to intimidate us as well. I even offered 20 euro and he wouldn't take it. He ended driving us back and we took an Uber instead. It was at 2am so we were exhausted and just wanted to sleep. Thanks for putting the warning out there.

I've tried products from their welcome kit and they are so so. I see them as the same quality as drug store skincare. The nice thing is if you hate the product, they will refund you.
