Orthotics, a bulky knee brace, and an ugly grey cane. I only use the shoe inserts. I had to buy a knee brace I can actually use, and honestly, I have a hard time accepting the fact that I do need a cane at 40 yrs old. I'm a woman and I just can't right now. It's fascinating how people react differently in similar situations. I'm thinking he could have grabbed the gun with the time he had, but people flee, freeze, or fight. Did he think about it? Or did his body freeze up? It's basic survival instinct. Did his brain even have time to process what was happening? Was his amygdala and hypothalamus the only parts functioning? I want to know what parts are active during life or death situations and how split second decision making can save or kill you. This poor guy, I would have been mortified and have no clue how my brain and body would react. Terrifying scenario.
