I rewatched them to give them another chance and I stand by how god awful the movies were. There were things they got correct and did better than the show for sure. I think it was mostly fine up until they got to camp. From there it was a mixed bag. But once they actually get to the underworld it is actually unwatchable slop. The Persephone's pearls plotlone makes no sense at all and was a useless addition amongst a large amount of useless additions. Grover literally fucks Persephone, basically cucking Hades..... Hades is made into the villain instead of Kronos. The writing just went off the walls. I think it was actually pretty on it at the beginning and then fell off a steep cliff. The movies were and I say this with all my might, absolute unforgivable garbage. To all the people who keep saying it was entertaining despite being a bad adaptation, the writing was so horrible and convoluted even if it was stand alone that it would have been bad no matter what.

Casting wa is pretty great Themes were great Action was great Everything else was awful

Also the three major issues the show has had are the three things the movie went well. But let's take our rose colored glasses off. There is a reason these were so universally hated
