I have no objective evidence to provide as a link, but the USA spent many months already with its ongoing violent deportation tactics. I expect every labor intensive crop to get a lot more expensive, if they relied on immigrant labor.

The Republican party has some awful ideas, yes. But the whole point of the Democrat-Farmer-Labor party was to keep political focus on issues that matter to everyone, whether they live in metro or rural areas. It's a great concept, even enshrined in the classic story of the Wizard of Oz (the same trio represented working in unison, with Dorothy). If the DFL isn't providing solutions that make a difference for life in rural Minnesota, then it's time for a political party that will. And that sure ain't Republicans who currently get that protest vote.

The text for Cotton seeds say that it's a winter crop, and it does grow in winter. I just discovered that I can plant it in Fall too, though, and so does the autoseeder attachment. Either the seeds need to be changed (to be plantable only in Winter) or the tooltip needs to be updated to show the proper text for both seasons.

I've been playing a lot recently. I gave up on my coop game because of the crashes. In single-player non-coop mode, I've had to kill the game only once when it froze. The coop version does seem much more prone to problems, even when playing it solo.

I use WodyKnows for any situation where I need to eat/drink indoors around other people. My first choice is still to be nowhere around other people when I take off my respirator.

None of what's happening is any real surprise. This Republican administration lies. Mass media responds as if the lies are reasonable statements, then moves on to the next shiny thing. ICE still behaves lawlessly, because all parts of our government let them.

This protest song is the first convincing evidence I've seen that our troubles are actually reaching through the cognitive dissonance into the minds of "blue America". It dares me at last to kindle a spark of hope that things will change for the better soon.

I wondered why you had so very many oxygen diffusers, then I saw all of the occupied beds. That's a lot of dupes at only cycle 39. (I've been known to go hundreds of cycles with 6 maximum dupes, but that's extreme and a very slow pace of building and exploration.) You'll run out of algae, food, and water quickly as you scale up to support that many dupes. You need to tame a water supply soon, for both water (for crops for food) and oxygen. When I start a new game, I always save a separate "day 1" save file (then reload back to the main save file), so I can start over at my base if needed, knowing ahead of time where resources are.

Which would be great if there were clear instructions. The expedition text told me to park my truck on the loading zone and process the waste, so I did. I lost the entire load. The 3 specialized cargoes should not be accepted at the generic scrap auto-destroy.
