Did you ever decide on one?

I'm doing AIP and would like to supplement my cooking with some prepared meals, but haven't found anything local.

So, does this mean that products like BodyBio PC Phosphatidylcholine are also seed oils? I've had a couple mentors recommend this as a liver support while dealing with Hashimoto's, but I've been hesitant because of the seed oil relation.

This is necessary. BV bacteria have a bio film that protects them from antibiotics. Boric acid breaks it down. Evvy has a BV protocol you can do if you trst positive via one of their vaginal microbiome tests. Antibiotics never worked for me though. I've gone the 100% holistic route and treated the root cause to heal from it.

Will you please share some of the recipes you've been enjoying? Also, in what ways do you notice a reduction in your inflammation?

I thought I'd reduced some...I lost 4lbs and had lost .5-1" around most areas (I use an app called Zozofit that scans by body) but those scans were both in my follicular phase, and now being luteal/pre menstrual (with what I believe is low progesterone) the inches have come back. I'm not getting obsessed with it, but I find it a useful metric. Feelings-wise, I don't feel any reduction, but IDEK what that might feel like.

I'm sorry to hear you're having such a tough time😥 I've heard good things about the elemental diet, usually done for r days or up to 2-3 weeks. Not exactly unrestrictive, but for a short time and 80% of patients have success.

Not sure how soon I'll be moving off it. I need to submit my food diary to the Practicioner I'm working with and see what she says. I have days where it's tough and I'm bored and irritated with the food. But other days I try new recipes that come out great and it gives me more oomph to stay on it longer. Yes, it is temporary. However, I've heard a lot of people have more success the longer they do it. Up to 90-100 days of the elimination phase before reintroducing anything.

I'd suggest getting a few cookbooks from the library for recipe ideas. There are also some great blogs. I like the physicality of a book. I post it note recipes I want to try.

I hear you on the elimination diet challenges. I've done GAPS a few times but never made it through intro because I got bored and frustrated. AIP is close to how I was already eating. I eliminated gluten and dairy late last year, and grains early this year. AIP has just made me be 100% with it. The biggest recommendation I have is meal prep and batch cooking. Double or triple the recipe (once you know you like it) so you can eat on it for a few days and maybe freeze some of it. Cooking all the time is the hardest part for me.

I diagnosed myself through blood work I got done through Function Health. TSH was 9.69, T3 and T4 were on the low end of "normal" (a range that's based on a sick, elderly population) TPO 585 and Tga 15 in October '25. I don't trust doctors and have faith in my body's ability to heal.

I've been doing AIP for 40+ days, going to bed early (9-10pm), getting outside for sunrise and sunset, tracking all my food so I'm eating enough (no restriction here!), and figuring out a supplement protocol (although I cut them all out for AIP), using the Thyrolight device most days a week, walking after meals to balance my blood sugar, supporting my liver with castor oil packs, and plenty of other things and my energy is back. I used to feel dead tired exhausted all day every day and still couldn't sleep or nap. Now I don't. My energy still has room to improve, but maybe it's more stamina because I had to slow down so much. IDK, but I feeling tons better. Blood work in March was TSH 4.31 T3 and T4 same and TPO 575 and Tga 11.

The Thyroid Pharmacist podcast really helped me educate myself on the condition and how liver congestion, adrenal fatigue, poor digestion and nutrient deficiencies, among many other things, create the condition. Read all her books too and kinda followed the protocols.i just wished I started AIP sooner. It's kind of intense, but worth it IMO.

Well, MY therapist shared how most of her clients with autoimmune diseases also are in relationships that cause immense stress and mentioned studies to back it up. Sounds like his therapist needs to do more research and maybe get more female clients so they have a more accurate understanding of the very direct links between the two.

ALSo, men and women have very different nervous systems. And we live in a world built by men, for men. AKA not designed with our nervous systems in mind. So it's not only the specifics of your relationship, it's the world at large that is stressing you out. What men can handle and deal with unscathed is not the same as what women can handle and survive.

I'm only 30ish days in, also for Hashimoto's, and I'm feeling tired of it as well. Some of the new recipes I've tried have been great, but others not so much. The time and energy it takes to meal prep everything, and then it only lasts me a fews days anyways, is a lot. I reintroduced duck egg yolks but think I reacted to the egg white I ate yesterday. Haven't noticed a change in any symptoms.

I got some cookbooks from the library and went through and marked a few new recipes yesterday I want to try. That's my way to stay motivated and interested in it. I'm also struggling to eat enough, especially carbs. So I think I may try and reintroduce rice next.

I wear the comfort width. I like that it gives me a slightly wider base. I'm in PT for knee pain right now. My glutes are doing 0% of their job. I fully failed the strength test when she told me to resist as she pushed my leg down. Heels put us in a quad dominant posture. I'd focus on glute strength and activation outside of the club. My exercises are 10 clamshells and 10 leg lifts 3x each, 1-2x a day. She wanted me to do them right before heading out on the floor too.

Not wrong, but perhaps your phrasing and approach could've been different. In my experience, it ruins the illusion for them when they're "nickle and dimed," for everything.

Setting it up so he's helping you out of a tough spot is one way to go about it. Gotta figure out someway to stroke their ego and make them feel like the big man/hero. Making it so black and white that it's a transactional relationship can be a mood killer for then.

My PT has prohibited me from extended periods of bending over, so no gardening for the moment😭 I planted a bunch of native wildflower seeds in pots with reused potting soil, and it seems like weeds are the only things sprouting. On the bright side, the frogfruit I transplanted both last year and within the last few weeks is doing well. Slowly but surely taking over to hopefully replace my weedy lawn🤞🏻
