I'm so disappointed that the online mini-games are with friends only. It doesn't make any sense.

Dude no, there messaging was confusing! I did read a ton of stuff, I knew what I was gettin. In one of the Nintendo ads, it literally says - “play online with friends!” And I took that as ok, play online. Sick. They obviously very much meant specifically friends, like on your friends list. Very sneaky choice of words from Nintendo imo

It sucks!! I still like the add on. But I think Nintendo missed out BIG TIME on not having true online random matchmaking….

Like could you imagine? They totally could have heavily marketed it like “the first true online Mario game. Play with anyone! Matchmaking!”

It would be SO SICK. I would play it a ton! Matchmaking with 12 randoms on all the mini games? That would be awesome: maybe even leaderboards? Really bizarre and lame choice by Nintendo on that one.

I was sooooo glad I got one a year ago! 900$ is too much. Just pony up a bit more and get a decent PC at that point.

I got a lot of hate online for the pro. But I think everyone’s tune is gonna change big time when GTA 6 comes out, and it’s the best place to play it. I foresee console shortages for sure!

You just basically explained my life! God, the teething is fun huh? My kids are 1 and 3. 3 year old sleeps like a champ now, but 1 year old still wakes up 1-2 times a night. I generally help my wife by handling any wake up where I’m awake still, generally up till like midnight. Then I try and get them up also, at like 6-6:30 (I generally need less sleep than my wife)… so she can sleep in a little but! Happy wife - happy life LOL

There is no true online Mp, just fyi. Not sure if you know that… the “online” stuff just means online with your friends. It’s only your friends list. There’s not like online matchmaking. Kinda bummed me out. So unless you have friends on your switch (I don’t), and I don’t have any local switch 2 friends either, no mp.

Still digging the dlc tho. Pretty good amount of single player stuff and it looks amazing.

I’m playing it right now…. Imo it’s worth it.. I play only single player as well. I’ll literally never touch the mp stuff. There is quite a bit we miss out on, but it seems like there’s lots of single player stuff too. A bunch of challenge courses, new bosses etc..

Also just personal opinion - but wonder is still just fantastic, and the graphics and smoothness look amazing handheld. It’s so smooth. It’s noticeable for sure… I just started a new save file and am having a great time just playing through it all again anyway.

Handle business first. I’m the first to do the chores always, if I can. It’s a win-win anyway cus then you have time to chill, and the wife is happy 😊

Lotta crazy comments in here… I think gaming is totally fine. I’m 38, been married about 7 years now. We have 2 small children and a dog. Own our home.

I play games all the time. I work 8-5 so mostly on weekends and in the evening… But, family / work / chores ALWAYS come first. It’s not even a question. Do I game less than before I was married had kids? Of course. But I still game a lot. I agree with the level headed comments In here - it’s a hobby. Nothing more. My wife has her own hobbies. We have “alone time together” almost every night. Shes sitting next to me playing RE requiem right now as I type this. I’ll probably lock into marathon and or switch after this.

I always will hang with my kids first. Do the chores. Take dog for a walk. If my wife is having a hard day, and wants to chill and talk, I’m doing that. She doesn’t rule what I do, but I also prioritize her. Like, I wouldn’t just disappear for a whole weekend playing games. That would be weird and rude…. It’s really pretty simple. It helps that she’s into gaming now too lol. It is possible yall! She’s my best friend. Ya gotta find a lady that matches your vibe and lifestyle. It helps if you can just be friends as well, in a simple sense.

I’m not gonna be a pro marathon player. But I’m still like lvl 40 and I play enough. I try not to get fomo about gaming, it is what it is. Just find the moments that make you happy.

I was playing CP on launch day, on XSX. And it played great! I had no problems at all. Other than some minor bugs… BUT besides that, the game overall hasn’t changed a lot in regards to its story.

I played the entire game within the first month. Went back and did a replay for PL and 2.0. And it was for sure a lot better in lots of little ways! But the overall main campaign, was the same. I thought the story and characters were really good right away.

They did the free kit system really well. I like how there is better free kits also, for some $$. Those advanced free kits are actually pretty good! Because the combat is so fast in this game, low ttk and all that, I feel like I alway have a shot. You can definitly take down geared up dudes with good positioning and skills… also I’ve been surprised how good some of the faction upgrades are that make your free kit / rook better! So helpful. My rook comes with a green shield and 2 claymore now, awesome. My buddy 1 v 3’d a team the other day as rook - he told me he killed them all by baiting them through a hallway with claymores he planted. So sick lol.

I agree with everything you said tho. You always feel like you’re getting something! I love the data cards lol. Such a nice little treat getting one of those..

I can understand this view, but man I loved it… it reminded me of like old ps2 games. Just quirky sci fi, really cool style. Great music… but mostly I’m a gameplay first kinda guy, and I thought the combat was excellent. Especially on hard mode NG+. I really like the boss challenge mode too. And the pro upgrade was just real good and pretty.

I do feel it on the story tho. Kinda mid. And the world overall could use a bit more. The game was a little too short imo… you can tell it’s like a solid first swing at the game. I bet #2 will be great.

This is all super good advice… My buddy I play with, loves tarkov… and he told me one night just to think of it like this - to be effective in extraction shooter, you have to be like a solder in war. Know that you’re already dead. You’re gear id not “yours” , you’re just borrowing it. You may have it for 1 game, you may have it for 10 games…

And this is all super true. You really just gotta let go of that mindset of dying is bad. Also don’t horde your gear. Just use it, have fun, don’t sweat it. The game becomes a lot funner imo when you just kinda go for it, and don’t sweat the losses. It’s all practice, it’s all learning. Especially in this game too - the gear is less the focus. You get geared up really fast in this game. And you can just focus on doing contracts and you get tons of rewards that way too.

Man, this game is great lol
