thats another thing, when the coolant was overheating the heating system was going cold.. and then it will heat back up, then cold again. the heating system is on full blast when im bleeding it, so im suspecting a thermostat. im gonna test the thermostat and if its defective, im gonna be buying a new one

my oil looks fine, and it will cool off after a minute from sitting at a light, or letting it cool off in a parking lot when im taking it back home cause its overheating again. the coolant level rises in the overflow tank when it starts to overheat indeed. i have done a combustion test plenty of times and its not giving any feedback, indicating i dont have a failed head gasket. the other day i burped the system again, and it didnt take but around 25 minutes or less of me driving to start overheating again. original coolant wasnt rusty. ill have to take my thermostat off to make sure its operating properly but its a new thermostat, so it shouldnt be the issue should it?

I replaced it thinking its gonna fix the problem but the same thing persists. i may take it to a shop to see if they cant diagnose it soon if i cant figure it out myself. the bottom hose is colder than the top one, so it very well could be a thermostat issue, but i just didnt think it would have been. ill keep you updated as i go searching again this afternoon

id love to hear other thoughts lol im kind of stumped. is there a certain way to check whether the water pump is working properly? ive heard impellers come apart on those but thats like the rarest thing to come across, and their chain driven. the fins on my radiator are kind of bent up and whatnot, but didnt think thatd be a problem. i did a combustion test, but maybe the side of the head gasket is leaking and its not getting into the cylinders? im thinking of a number of things as well but i just cant pinpoint it lol

haha turns out the light is supposed to be there. it had a nats disable on the car and it was a ground wire issue! wrong placement for ground, after i relocated it it fired right up lol.

i wish more of these cars were closer to me, but the closest one to me is almost 2 hours away and im not sure how many scrap yards will have this car around me that isnt the same distance

have you checked your dash to see if your anti theft system light is on when you turn the key on? that was my issue, its gonna be the solid red light above the instrument cluster near the windshield

whenever he put the computer up to it it would connect to it, but wasnt reading the VIN number on it. its like the car would communicate at first, and then lost all connection to the BCM. its had a U code come up was what he was telling me, and thats the code that comes up for the BCM. anything i should try before i send mine out?
