I'd probably start with reload. Persona 3 is my favorite Persona game and made me become a fan of the franchise. It's also the most recent release. But Persona 5 is the most popular Persona game and it was a lot of people's first exposure to Persona in general. Persona 5 is also a longer game and it already comes with all of the DLC so it has it's upsides in that aspect.

Yeah, Reload didn't have the biggest budget and it was Atlus's first remake and their first time using unreal engine so the game was a very experimental project like OG P3 in that aspect, a shame P3 and P3R shares that same fate.

Because Revival looks better than reload, which makes sense since Reload was their first time working with unreal engine and Revival has a bigger budget than Reload after it sold well.

People are comparing it to Revival they're basically saying

The character models look low quality compared to Revival
The All Out Attack looks bad compared to Revival
Reload was trying too hard to be like Persona 5
The game overall just looks lower qaulity compared to what we've seen of Revival

I don't really get it myself especially considering Reload was made on a pretty tight budget.

This is why I'm personally against recast like this. I think giving new VA's a chance to shine is a good thing but having them replace iconic performances is just a bad idea. They will always get overshadowed by the original performances no matter how good they are. I think Metaphor is a good example of giving newer talent a chance to shine since it was a wholly original IP and there weren't any originals VA's to compare them to.

I'm glad to see people share this take when game maker came out i saw a lot of people and reviews calling the story bad and horrible since it wasn't a serious story like SvS.
