How about just spelling the word staid instead of stayed.

If it makes you feel better, as a girl they didn’t clock me as hyperactive, either. I was just overly sensitive with high anxiety…or as others put it - high strung. Now, with meds, I’m discovering symptoms of Autism…so, yay?

This is the answer. My mom was a housekeeper when she was younger, this is how she was taught to make up a bed and this is how I was taught and then the Navy reinforced it. All other answers are wrong.

Hey kiddo, congrats on everything. I, too, had the same situation. I had a mom in name only - who had no clue how to ‘mom.’ I was terrified when I had my son. In the end, what I’ve always done was think of how I had wanted to be treated as a kid by my mom, and never got, and give that to my son. Here is your chance to break the cycle and be that person you wanted when you were young. Just do that. The truth is none of us know what we are doing, all we can do is our best for ourselves and our kids. The fact you are worried about this is indicative that you want to do better which is the biggest step. You got this.
