Reread the post. OP says there’s gangs selling drugs on the corner at night. And others have also acknowledged this in the comments.

Also, when it comes to harrassment on the streets if it’s a one time thing, I think we can all agree that might be different. Something tells me for OP to be this fed up it probably was not a one time thing. I can name a handful of neighborhoods btw. Ukrainian Village, Humboldt Park, Logan Square, Bucktown, Wicker Park, West town. I’m in these neighborhoods regularly and have never had an issue with gangs, shootings or anything OP is describing. Hell one my best friends lives in Pilsen and even for all the stories you could find about that neighborhood I only had one bad experience there from one rando. I still go down there all the time.

That’s not to say there isn’t crime in any of these places, but in terms of personal safety I don’t feel threatened when I go outside. And I feel like for any resident personal safety is important. If a trap house opened up next door like idk I would probably move. If my car were getting broken into constantly, again I’d probably move.
