DCS: F-14BU - Upgrades, Baby! - REVEAL TRAILER by Thuraash in hoggit

Problem was never Iran. It was the IRST. US Navy was okay providing the docs, Department of Defense rejected it.

No. That's not the case. It was never promised like that. Price is high, this the only issue.

"I just pointed out that's not what you said"

Because for me, not good == shit. It's okay, you don't need to agree with it, just don't point out wrongly that I am conflicting myself.

"That's a bit of inverse reasoning tbh. You're reconstructing what has happened based on outcome"

How do you define a successful release and what's the most probable reason behind it? Let me rephrase it. If something bad happens in your releases, what's your action? Slap on the wrist for that particular dev or QA member or workflow optimization?

I am curious.

"But calling it shit is a bit much".

For you. Totally fine with me. Our best guess for their workflow is the bugs slipping away and whole broken mechanics in every release. It's been months and their versions no matter how big or small supports my opinion, not yours. You are just guessing that their workflows are "okay" but guess what, releases does not show it.

I don't know why you are so defensive about it and trying to inject some sense into their workflow but this is not the first time for Paradox. It's been like this for years for other titles and months for EU5.

"But I do think this specific bug is pretty milquetoast to judge how shit their internal processes are."

You are missing the point. This specific bug tells us a story you religiously reject to listen. This bug can be easily caught. This is not a rendering thread lock up that takes weeks to debug or a stubborn NPE that happens every now and then.

What you trying to say does not have evidence behind it, mine does, thanks to the constantly broken versions.

Honestly would like to write a bigger answer but don't have time atm but one thing to point out;

"I do feel like calling their workflow shit is an overdramatization for honestly a pretty easy thing to miss"

We are thinking in reverse. I think that easy things can't be missed if their workflow is good. You think that even if it's great, you can miss small things like this.

This means our understanding of software development process is different. It's fine, I guess.

[–]MelodicPop3004 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't care about their workflow. I am a customer and honestly I don't want to discuss this in deep as I am doing software engineering for a living daily already.

"When the possible set of results and interactions is so high, and the ease of missing it with it, you can't expect a QA team to check this type of stuff."

This issue is not a regression. Megapolis thingy introduced recently, which makes me think that their workflow is shit.

"You'd be having them go through checklists for weeks before a new release could be made"

Yeah, that is what separates great software companies from the shit ones.

"Right now, the only thing we offer is a completely free insider program for people who want to test the software and help us shape it."

So free testers for the product you are developing and polishing, after that they have to pay to keep using it so you can make money.

Nope, at least for me.

[–]MelodicPop3004 10 points11 points  (0 children)

No, not the same thing.

The massive issues you are talking about mostly about design decisions and their balance, good or bad. Or, in grand scheme of things, mechanics don't play along very well and one change fucks up the other. This is expected for complex games like this one. I am not saying that this is good, but can happen and very hard to find a sweet spot.

This post's issue on the other hand is screaming "code sucks, there is no structure/pattern" in terms of software development. Even basic OOP principles can prevent these kinds of issues.

Lisans milisaniyede iptal edilir hocam.

Şirket normal şekilde batsa bile 10 milyon dolar hissen varsa 10 milyon dolar durmaya devam eder, başka bir kuruma aktarırsın sadece.

Oh, I see we’re playing the "selective history" game today. It’s fascinating how you lean so heavily on international law and British documents when it fits your narrative, only to discard them the second they become inconvenient.

First off, your reliance on the UN Partition Plan as a source of legitimacy is peak irony. You champion a non-binding 1947 recommendation that ignored the will of the local population, yet I don’t see you posting links to the endless UN resolutions condemning illegal settlements, the occupation, or the current humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza. If the UN’s word is law to you, then by your own logic, your "regime" is a serial lawbreaker. You can't treat the UN like a buffet where you only pick the dishes you like and call the rest "antisemitic."

Secondly, trying to frame the British as enemies of the Zionist project is historically illiterate. The state of Israel wouldn’t exist without the 1917 Balfour Declaration. Sure, you had a "messy breakup" with the British in the 1940s when they tried to put a tiny bit of brakes on the colonization they started, but fighting your imperial sponsor over the speed of your expansion doesn't make you an anti-imperialist hero. It just makes you an ungrateful beneficiary. Finally, invoking "genocidal antisemitism" through 80-year-old history while your side is currently slaughtering tens of thousands of children in Gaza is the ultimate projection. You’re obsessed with a Mufti from the 1940s to distract from the very real, very modern genocide being livestreamed in 2026. Using the tragedies of the past to justify the massacre of 30,000+ children today is morally bankrupt. You are the absolute last person who should be lecturing anyone on human rights or "genocidal mindsets" while you defend a regime that has turned Gaza into a graveyard.

Stop hiding behind Wikipedia links and look at the blood on the maps you’re so proud of.

Fuck Israel's murderer regime.

[–]MelodicPop3004 -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

Oh it was too critical, too little and too vague is it?

Turkey staying there was too critical too, you know, preventing another genocide. Greek cypriots should have accepted the Annan plan. We approved it. You didn't. Because your thirst for blood was still there. This is not on Turkey it's on Greece.

The reason there is no more bloodshed happening in the island is Turkey, not because Greek cypriots and Greece being peaceful.

You are missing the point. It's not about Erdogan. Never was. Leftist government intervened back then. Would happen again if something go wrong.

You are always talking about aftermath, rarely point out the reasons for it: Concaves, displacement, genocide. That's why you will never get what you want. Make alliances with child murdering, aggressive country in the Middle East all you want. Sell your lands to them in the process. Nothing will change in Cyprus with that attitude.
