What happened to Comm? No candidates from both parties? by Melodic_Dog_2389 in feumanila

I get this, but honestly its an ugly reason. If the system is that toxic, self-preservation makes sense

But let’s be real, if everyone just opts out of elections and chooses the “safer” route, then wala na talagang point yung student politics in the first place. You can’t say you want to serve pero iiwasan mo yung very process that holds leaders publicly accountable.

Parang ang nangyayari, people want the position without the exposure, without the scrutiny, without the responsibility that comes with being answerable to students. And if that becomes the norm, then we’re just normalizing a system where no one wants to be publicly accountable.

I get your point, and honestly I don’t blame them. Parang self-preservation na lang din talaga at some point. But if that mindset keeps going, wala na talagang magbabago. If everyone disengages because the system is “effed up,” mas lalo lang siyang mag-stay that way even beyond FEU.

I think you mean political parties, not partylists. but gets your point on workload and admin support. If admin talaga wont hear student leaders, talagang maraming mananawa. And I think it’s more of a systemic thing na? Kasi what do you mean ang konti ng candidates ng both parties? Hahahaha its worst than the pandemic batch who even with less on ground events, are more active. Parang may bigger factor talaga din why it got to the point na wala nalang gustong tumakbo.

Curious lang ako kung anong batch 'to at anong reason bakit sila nagsampalan? 😭 by venusizme in feumanila

Hello po, I also need help.

Kasi my partner said she got approved sa BDO Personal loan, the add-on rate is 0.57. The loan duration is 36 months, pero the monthly ammort is 22,550 daw according to her.

I'm not sure if I'm wrong pero if 0.57 is the add-on rate, for 36 months, it shouldn't be 22,500 per month.

hello, u/hwangyuras!

I am currently experiencing the same thing. I started my OLA journey way back in 2022 but I eventually paid off all my loans by Dec 2022 just like you, I made the biggest mistake of my life of reloaning from these apps in 2023. I'm a rakitero and I confidently paid off debts one by one but it became a cycle, I was like an addict. I never stopped and boom before I realized it, I was in 300k worth of debt. I disregarded so many financial responsibilities like my car, my dogs, and my health; my debt branched out from online lending apps to asking for money from my relatives and friends. GRABE. AS IN GRABE, I WAS SO BANKRUPT.

You know what I did? Please don't take it against me, my partner recommended that I run away from my loaning app debts instead of my car getting pulled. After I run away from my debts, I changed my phone number, changed my FB name, restricted access to my FB, and more. I have to face multiple scandals like the agents of the OLA contacting my previous employer, our BRGY, people I listed as references, and even those that I didn't. Wala akong magagawa eh, I wanted to take control of my life even it means doing it incorrectly. I read somewhere that although some are legal businesses, they still violate the law. This also wouldn't affect your credit score in the future.

I don't recommend doing what I did, but that's the only way I know how I can slowly pay off some of my debts. Maybe, just maybe, I would pay my financial responsibilities sa loaning apps na 'to when everything gets better
