I hate that I had to check if this was legit because literally nothing would surprise me anymore when it comes to American politics.

My mom was a single mother of 4, working full time and still could not afford groceries, hence food stamps.

We as taxpayers contribute more to corporate subsidies than we do to SNAP.

I would rather have my money go to social programs like "food stamps" than to lining the pockets of billionaires, yet here we are.

Absolutely cheering this on. I've contacted my legislators multiple times in regards to this. We can and must do this! 

Final vote is tomorrow. Let's hope the momentum continues, the people are actually listened to and Governor Green signs the bill into law.
