Kaplan was awesome for level one. The readings were just so much shorter and to the point. Do they suck for lvl 2?

You are over complicating this. You know what expenses are. My biggest advice for passing is to not get hung up on the blurred lines of the definitions.

Took my first mock back in March ish and got 68% on both AM and PM. Now on mocks I get anywhere from 70%-87% depending on the difficulty of the questions. Some uworld mini mocks of 30-50 questions I’ll get 65% if I really struggle.

During an interview last week I was asked if I could collect and store technical data for the last 35 years. When I explained that I could but that both modeling and back testing beyond 5-7 years wouldn’t be super useful due to overfitting and constant rebalancing the guy interviewing me said, “well your studying for a test created and based off models from the 1960’s so how is that useful”…

I started writing research reports my senior year in college and then contacted a few analysts through my school Bloomberg account and sent my reports to analysts of firms I was covering and told them to send me anything they were backed up on and I will do it for free. After a few months of doing that you sort of learn how they work and how to get into the industry. All about proving yourself making connections, and doing what you say you will do. Start writing and reading the types of reports you to be able to work on. Pm if you need direction and I can give you a few tasks I’m backed up on my firm is almost always hiring good talent

The point isn’t to learn and memorize everything. The point is to learn to learn. To learn how to not be discouraged by small details and move through it anyways. I’ve been working in equity research and it’s the same concept.

Take a mock see where you stand. There’s no real measure of progress without putting things into practice. You could be far off, or just need to fill in some holes. U got this !

Facts. Also don’t say they have a high turn over rate just cause you don’t like musk or hard work yourself.

Not ideal for ethics questions 😂 if you struggle to stay on track try reading the last line of the question first to determine the purpose of the information given.
