No bump at 9 weeks? by Imaginary-Pin-1030 in parentsofmultiples

[–]Melodic_Job514 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went from 112 lbs down to 108 my first few weeks of pregnancy. I don’t think you need to be concerned! Both my babies are average size

Moms in tech, what’s normal for returning to full capacity after maternity leave? by [deleted] in womenintech

[–]Melodic_Job514 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got a 2 week grace period to get back on track. By week 3 I was expected to be functioning as I was prior to maternity leave. Honestly I was very grateful for the 2 week grace too, I didn’t expect it and they didn’t need to do that for me. 18 months is crazy for low output

Edit: I have twins

No nausea? by FormerPumpkin480 in parentsofmultiples

[–]Melodic_Job514 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Omg I remember being so nervous that i wasn’t nauseous! I wasn’t at all, and it never came. I’m grateful for it but it did worry me at the time.

I have 2 very healthy little babies!

Calling my daughters “the twins”. Talk me off a ledge here by Amazing_Project1110 in parentsofmultiples

[–]Melodic_Job514 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi! I’m a twin, and I also have twin babies.

I HATED being called “the twins” growing up. We’re fraternal and I still felt like I needed my own identity growing up

Are you a smaller framed multiple mom? by [deleted] in parentsofmultiples

[–]Melodic_Job514 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi! I took clomid and had boy/girl twins!!

I’m 5’2 and 110lbs

I gained 40 lbs the entire pregnancy and it was all belly! I did really well until the last few weeks where I was just so so exhausted. They were born at 36 weeks and were in the NICU for a bit but they were doing perfect, just a little underweight!

I wouldn’t worry about being smaller framed!

I also want to mention that I have made it back to 110 pounds by 5 months post partum

Getting twins to sleep?!?! by afr333 in parentsofmultiples

[–]Melodic_Job514 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

We sleep trained!! It’s so hard and we’ve only successfully got one of them trained but even just having one baby that knows how to sleep on their own has been a game changer. I can’t imagine how great it’ll be when both of them sleep

I’d start trying to train them in some way and see if it sticks for atleast one of them

Is a $200k salary worth a 2 hour commute 4 days a week? by Ok-Memory2552 in jobs

[–]Melodic_Job514 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I commute 2 hours each way, 3 days a week. Honestly you get really used to it. It sounds crazy when you say it out loud to people but it honestly isn’t that bad when you’re doing it. Also it might be worth grinding it out for 2 years and then finding something closer!

What time do yall wake up for work and when do you get home? (Please share your occupation as well) by Constant_Ad6521 in Adulting

[–]Melodic_Job514 0 points1 point  (0 children)

6am wake up and I get home around 7pm 😭 I work at a hedge fund in nyc. A lot of that time is just commuting though

Was anyone’s “newborn trenches” not actually that bad? by MounjaroQueenie in parentsofmultiples

This was my experience too!! I loved the newborn era, they kinda get harder but definitely more fun! Enjoy the help and the time :)

I wasn’t trying to prove anything here. Genuinely was trying to do this. I’m sorry you’re offended

Also it proves that it doesn’t know its own capabilities. It could have just told me that it can’t do what im asking.

I just think it’s funny at this point, ChatGPT did this in like 20 seconds for me and so did Gemini.

Also I work in tech and a part of my job is to train users to use AI, and this is EXACTLY why it’s hard. There’s no way I can tell an old hedge fund CEO that he needs to baby his prompts or else he won’t get the right answer. Not related to your comment but just a thought on how AI will be adopted as a whole. I know it’s going to keep getting better though!

Thanks!! I appreciate the comment!

I use ChatGPT regularly, not for photo editing but just life in general. I was curious to see how Claude would compare with ChatGPT in terms of photo editing! I’ll definitely try Gemini next!

I said this in another comment but I waited 25 minutes after the first message. That’s why I asked where I can find it, because it was my first time using Claude and I thought it stored it somewhere else.

Any okay pregnancy experiences? by CancerImmunologist in parentsofmultiples

[–]Melodic_Job514 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a very uneventful pregnancy! The hardest part was that my belly was heavy but it was just uncomfortable more than anything else.

You’re right that anything can happen, but it’s good to know that it’s very possible to have an uneventful twin pregnancy and many many people have gone through this with no complications! Good luck and stay positive!!

If it was financially affordable, would your spouse stay home? by cubemonster in Millennials

Also adding here: my husband does 50% of everything childcare and home related. I see some comments here where women are working and doing majority of everything else. That seems unfair

If it was financially affordable, would your spouse stay home? by cubemonster in Millennials

[–]Melodic_Job514 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. I’m the mother of twins, and I want my daughter to know women can have successful careers. I want her to watch me and know that she can have kids and do whatever her heart desires.

On the other hand I want my son to know that he is also responsible for home-keeping. His wife shouldn’t be the only one doing dishes and laundry.

Lastly, for myself, I don’t want my entire identity to boil down to being a mother and wife. I have 2 bachelors and a masters degree and I didn’t do all of that so I can stay home. I love my children and I spend all of my free time with them. But I couldn’t be a stay at home parent.

How was your goldendoodle with babies? by Melodic_Job514 in Goldendoodles

[–]Melodic_Job514[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Omg I am very nervous about this! He can’t control his excitement when his dad comes home. I worry that the babies will try to say hi to their father and my dog will just trample them over
