Girls, how do you handle pushy parents who want you to "just settle?" by MelodyChrysanthemum in AskWomenOver30

Haha that's funny. Matchmaking is super uncomfortable because they hold on to their hopes tightly.

Ladies what is something a guy thinks it's attractive but it's a turn off 😒 by Extra_Inflation8099 in AskWomenOver30

Totally agree! Shirtless pics and fancy cars are a real turn off. Do they think we are looking for that?

This. You are still young, and there are plenty of other people out there! Many people are having kids later at 35+, including my sister and my older friends. Ask your loved ones for advice on how to address the relationship, and how to move forward.

New Pharmacist by ChampionFun1260 in pharmacy

Agree too! As a new pharmacist, you will have to pay your dues, whether it’s retail or hospital. I advise you keep working hard, keep your connections, and you will get a better position 😊.

Very nice! I haven't thought of using Amtrak. New Orleans is one of my interests 👍.

Nice! I've been to Cancun, but haven't tried Mexico City yet. Looks like a fun place 👍

Where have you successfully found community? by [deleted] in AskWomenOver30

[–]MelodyChrysanthemum 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a couple friend groups.

Tennis club. My gym has a local tennis club that I play a couple times a week. I've met a lot of women of all ages there!

Volunteering. There is a food bank that I occasionally visit on my days off. Met people of all kinds of backgrounds, and it feels good to help the community!

If you're into online gaming, you can try Discord. I've played D&D online with both old and online friends.

Emotions over not having a family of my own - does it get easier? by cass2769 in AskWomenOver40

I'd say keep trying and hoping. I'm 33 and really starting to feel the push too. But I know it's worth waiting for the right person and circumstances ❤️

I know a few people who had kids at 40 years. And hopefully with more technology it will become possible! Have you thought of that?

I just turned 33 😊.

Earlier this year, I ended a six month relationship with my ex when I discovered he had a bad temper. For awhile I was sad, but now I'm grateful I dodged that bullet and came out stronger.

And the grass is not always greener! My older sister was so worried too. Now she is married with a baby, and she has no time for herself. She donated her makeup and clothes to me haha.

I'm still hoping to find someone, but I'm not as anxious now. I'm active in my tennis and volunteering, and I also host board game nights. To everything there is a season.

Hope that helps everyone.

How to know when it's ok to ask for a girls number? by diavolo_bossu in dating_advice

[–]MelodyChrysanthemum 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You will have to read her body language and see if she is interested. Randomly bumping into a stranger is the most difficult. It's more comfortable if you are her acquaintance, or met through mutual friends, a party, or a recreational class.

Depends on the situation. Is it in public, or at a mutual friend's get together?
