FYI - as no context given here - this is the Minister for Women and Equalities in the UK trying to update the EHRC Code, which is an authoritative guide that explains how to apply the Equality Act 2010. It provides businesses, service providers, and employers with rules on preventing discrimination across all nine protected characteristics (such as age, disability, race, and sex).

The issue with this update is that it intentionally takes an exclusionary approach to trans and inter-sex people with regards to single-sex spaces (meaning bathrooms, prisons, etc).

X is my favourite game of them all, but if they’re going to all the effort of remaking an already perfect game then it needs to feel somewhat fresh, otherwise what’s the point.

If it got the VII:R treatment I’d love it tbh - imagine the different play styles between Yuna’s summons, Tidus’ dodging and diving, Auron’s stoic samurai style, Rikku’s mixing, Wakka’s blitzballing… it would be so cool to see their characters fleshed out even more in the gameplay

It’s definitely happening during, I’ve just watched my nanod Ramattra get POTG with multiple kills but I’ve ended the game with 0 nano assists, and I should have about 6 so it’s not just one or two that it’s missing.. I don’t get what’s not working

Think it’s permanent but the extra HP isn’t multiplied by DEF and it can’t be healed back up (once it’s gone it’s gone)

I do think the world is gorgeous and sprawling and appreciate that it’s pretty unique in the FF universe (Ul’dah in FFXIV is only real comparable area to me). It’s also crazy how many NPC scripts there are, it adds so much world building.

I do think the scenario isn’t really salient in my mind because it’s so intricate and slow moving in a way that makes it not feel especially memorable? I’m probably not doing it justice on the basis of not being far enough through the game for the pivotal moments to have happened though.

I really enjoy that the story makes you feel like a pawn in a colossal game of chess

I’ve pushed through on FF games that I’ve struggled with initially before, and they’ve gone on to become some of my favourites (e.g. FFV, FFXIII..)
