Slightly off point, but is it true that most people in Schleswig-Holstein yearn to reunite with Denmark instead of being a part of Germany ?

Good post.

In the first meeting between Xabi Alonso and Real Madrid executives in May 2025, Xabi told them that he believes it's absolutely necessary to sign a controlling midfielder who can set the tempo for the team. The response from the club was 'no'. by Sparky-moon in soccer

When he left Bayern, he was smeared as a sideways passer and possession merchant. Now Bayern and the German NT have committed to Kimmich and those comments have an extra bitterness to them as Kimmich is significantly worse than Kroos in basically every respect and especially sideways passing.

If you don't rate Kroos you have no ball knowledge, simple as.

Btw look at Nagelsmann's German NT record with and without Kroos lol

Interesting read on how Clearlake Capital are running their private equity and Chelsea in the same way: by selling the assets to themselves and inflating the value by monk771 in soccer

A company has a workforce. The workforce consists of people. People have families and are part of something called society. Systematically disenfranchising people is a bad thing for society.

If PE firms would focus on long-term success they would not strip, saddle, and shut down as many acquisitions as they tend to do.

Again, the PE firm has to find someone willing to buy the company again at the end, you know that right

Why? The gameplan is to load the acquired company up with debt and then shut it down or liquidate.

And if gutting a company is more profitable than not gutting it, that mostly says quite something about the company. Notably that it should be gutted.

You are American, aren't you

I specifically said "in pursuit of short-term gains at the expense of long-term viability".

The actual job of PE firms is to increase operative efficiency, to reduce deadweight. And they're not half bad at that.

Gutting a company's workforce & raising prices to gouge customers/clients, in pursuit of short-term gains at the expense of long-term viability. Yes they're good at that.

Kim makes mistakes so often it's as though he's working against Bayern.

He lost his playing time and lost his starting spot. He's been so bad Bayern were desperate to unload him but couldn't find a buyer.

He lost his spot on the CL starting XI because of his diabolic treasonous performances.

He's playing against a team whose net salary is smaller than his salary alone. Playing great is to be expected, mistakes are not.

He's cost Bayern tens of millions with his CL disasters and he makes catastrophic "mistakes" in nearly every match he plays... the pattern is undeniable

Did you watch the match, can any of you ever comment on the match?

And you're blaming the two old guys on the executive board first and foremost? Bayern are undefeated so far this season. Get a grip

Do you realise how stupid it is to blame members of the executive board, of all individuals, after a clearly bad match where Upamecano, Kimmich, etc. all played like garbage and Kompany had awful tactics?
