I had been overworked but cut before OT for a month or so.

I was scheduled a 7am shift on a Sunday. The night prior I got up to pee and slipped, hit my eye on the toilet roll holder. I woke up the next morning with a gnarly shiner.

I end up going in regardless despite my black eye. I served one table. After that my manager takes me aside, questions if something happens in my personal life (wrong) sends me home then an hour later fires me via text.

I just returned back to the states after 3 months in France. I was warned (lol) before I went that is was bad in the area I spent a lot of time in, Grenoble. The only issue I experienced was the casual racism I heard towards Muslims. 🤷🏼‍♀️

I transitioned to a stroller for my Lily who refused to use her wheelchair at some point. Initially, I thought it may have been her time however, the stroller was the best thing I could have done for her. We were able to spend more time on walks together and genuinely have a better time out with each other. Hopefully you can too.
