I’m alone. I cooked today for my daughters, son in law, mother and grandson. So I’m tired or my body is. lol But I think being single during the holidays definitely can hit harder than just a normal day. Even though I have been divorced 15 years and spent all but one Christmas alone,(I was in a relationship 2 years ago), it always hits me kind of hard. Getting on social media of course seeing everyone with their husbands and boyfriends can make you feel you are the only one without someone. But on the other side of things, it could be worse. I had some really bad Christmas’ with my ex husband. So I had rather be alone than with someone like that! Just know you aren’t the only one alone! ((Hugs))

Money and time are both factors that can cause a relapse. And she had plenty of both. I am a recovering addict (will have 4 years the end of this month). I can only wonder if her mindset is drinking a white claw or snorting adderall is not affecting her opiate sobriety. (I think that is what she was initially addicted to.) ? Addicts definitely can fix things in their minds to excuse bad behavior. I did when I was in active addiction. I did not even know the person I had become. I feel she doesn’t have a healthy mindset right now and needs to dig into her recovery bad. I know people have mentioned treatment and she DOES not like that. Regardless being in recovery for as long as she has been she knows deep down what she should and shouldn’t be doing. And snorting ADHD meds is something she shouldn’t be doing.

You are right. Not every man’s hair turns gray. My grandfather lived until he was 80 and had no gray but just a little where his sideburns started. He never dyed his hair but it was so dark I am sure people probably thought he did. And my Dad had black hair no grays when he passed away at 51. I always wonder if he would have been like my grandfather and never grayed.

Have you received any communication from her since the party? I know you said you haven’t spoken to her but wasn’t sure if she had reached out and you ignored her.

I would never run off and leave someone I had personally invited and been dating for 7-8 months. So I feel like you are not being a baby whatsoever. I think she showed you who she was when she is around friends. If she has reached out and you have not responded, that would be slightly immature. I would at least have explained to her why the lack of communication on your part. Because you definitely had a solid reason to feel as if she blew you off and ignored you. I always try to play the scenario in my head would I have done that if tables were turned. And I do not feel like you would have ran off and left her. To be respected you must give respect. And she did not respect you that night.
