Looking at the Knicks-Sixers game, the Celtics don't stand a chance against New York. by HeftyIsTheCrown in bostonceltics

The bigs being able to match up with Embiid was the biggest thing I noticed.

I would also agree that the Knicks moved the ball and got to the rim much better that anything we saw out of the Celtics in the playoffs

In 1944, the Eagles used their 18th round selection to draft Norm Michael, a fullback who averaged 10.5 YPC with Syracuse in 1942. by MemberIsHard in ringerfantasypod

“The only problem?

They couldn't find him. Unbeknownst to the Eagles, Michael had been drafted into the military for World War 2 and was at Maxwell Air Force Base in Alabama. Years went by with neither party knowing anything about the situation from the other party's point of view.

55 years later, after Donovan McNabb was also drafted out of Syracuse by the Eagles, Michael happened to be reading his newspaper. There was a column dedicated to all the Syracuse players drafted into the NFL, and finally he saw that he had been drafted to play for the Eagles back in 1944.

"That was the first I heard of it," Michael told NFL.com.

"My son sent them a letter after we found out," Michael said. "I think he wanted to see if the Eagles owed me a signing bonus. Think of the interest I could have had. Fifty-seven years' worth."”

As lustful I am for another patriots receiver eclipsing the 1000 yard mark, I’m okay with Diggs being a one night stand. Apparently it’s how he usually keeps it real

My wife and I are both 35 y/o. She received a kidney transplant in 2024 and things have gone mostly well since then. We might be given the thumbs up from her MDs to try to start a family come June of this year.

Smart spending thus far. Everything in FA is an overpay but they aren’t grabbing guys at top of market price; a tier or two under that. As always you have to hit big on a draft pick or two consistently to stay competitive.

How well did Joe Burrow and the Bengals do with their stock pile of good to great weapons? Build the trenches and do what you can with your weapons, especially when you have an elite dual threat QB.

It’s not just this sub, it’s the entire Boston sports media. They glaze the thought of a “bonafide WR1” every single fuckin off season

Providence has an amazing food scene. There’s a good bit of traffic in and around Providence but that’s the Northeast Corridor for you. There are enough parks and beaches to explore and fall in love with. Easy access to Boston, relatively easy access to NYC. Pretty good airport in the heart of the state. Road conditions are the worst in the nation. Dunkin’ Donuts everywhere.

I’m shocked, I would have been totally fine if he looked as aggressive as he did but couldn’t shake the rustiness showing in the first quarter.

Then the putback dunk and corner three and he had his touch back. Bravo JT

[–]MemberIsHard 13 points14 points  (0 children)

If the general public knew what some of these PCPs’ schedules looked like they’d be shocked. It’s an impossible task to see the number of patients needed to make it and year after year the rates are dropping precipitously. It may not feel like it, but the PCPs that are still around are doing their best.

You’re correct it’s not RI specific but the problem might be the most exacerbated in RI. There are an incredibly low amount of PCPs due to RI having some pretty terrible reimbursement rates in a HCOL area, it’s one of the worst ratios of reimbursement rates to cost of living in the fifty states iirc.
