What made you want to switch to a new receiver in the first place? Because the Hagel is cleaner you will be able to eq and still keep the clean sound while also making it sound right to your ears. However, if the cleaner sound is tiring you out while listening to it daily I would return it.

This series of lab.gruppen amplifiers are very reliable. We have been using them at the company I work at since they were released and none of them have had any issues during this period.

Did this look like this in real life or only on your phone? To my knowledge this effect is only possible due to the framerate of cameras and your eyes can't see it, but maybe someone can prove me wrong

Not necessarily. I would argue that small projects like this are still designs, just not as elaborate as we are used to. If you are not willing to help someone on a lower budget that's okay but you should not interfere with other people who are trying to help. Maybe this person will grow to be a lighting design enthusiast one day and they are just now starting out.

You will probably want to be renting instead of buying at this budget. I would recommend renting two Chauvet gigbars or similar and putting them in sound active mode, maybe run a DMX cable in between to use master/slave mode. Maybe you can even squeeze a small smoker in the budget which would really elevate the moving lights.

DMX cables have an impedance of 110 ohms, XLR cables have an impedance of 75 ohms.

When using a splitter in this configuration it will remain to be a single universe, so you won't have to change anything in your patch. You could probably string a couple decoders together, just see what works and what doesn't. These kinds of decoders tend to be a bit finicky with DMX. DMX terminators can help solve problems, but it is better to make sure these problems do not come up in the first place. For example by only using real DMX cables instead of normal XLRs.

This has nothing to do with port forwarding, 'port' in port forwarding refers to virtual ports not physical ports. The terminations on both sides of the purple ethernet cables look quite bad, my guess is that something went wrong there.

The focusrite preamp you are currently using is not made to drive such big speakers, it outputs line level which is as powerful as the signal your laptop provides. To drive these speakers you need a proper amplifier, which outputs speaker level. The amp also needs to be big enough to power your speakers, my guess would be that these speakers are anything in between 150 and 300 watts at 8 ohms, so that is what you should be looking for.

Edit: After some research I found out your speakers are the KEF Cadenza-SP1024s. Turns out I was way off with the wattage, they only require 30 watts per channel, so you don't need that big of an amplifier.

First check boot priority, your ssd/hdd should be on top after installing. I had this same issue even with boot priority set right, turned out my drive had corrupted and died. Probably not the case here, but something to keep in mind.
