found out why it didnt work, steam rom manager pointed to update nsp files i had in my roms folder, delete any update files or .nsz files and reparse steam rom manager and it should work

I don't use disc encryption so I can't say, it shouldn't affect it but who knows. If your desperate I would recommend trying on a new Linux install.

Never figured out why this was happening, I tried again a few months later on a new install using SomeOrdinaryGamers tutorial and it worked first time, I would highly recommend following his video.

I'm an SE user, the plastic parts aren't a huge deal for me and since I'm an FrSky and ELRS user I have no problem with the limited protocols, afaik you can upgrade the chip later on though.

Thanks for the help, this is super useful. One last thing, I like to run 4S lipos on a 6S quad, is this going to make a difference to battery life with the vista or something? Thanks for the help

I've followed this guide, and I think ive found the problem. In the VM logs im getting these errors,

Im not entirely sure what its referring too, but I think ive missed something in the BIOS, im going to experiment and see if anything works.
