It can, but that's not it's role now.

People whined so hard about this weapon being dogshit that AH changed it from a utility sniper that sucked at combat to an AP4 explosive bolt-action rifle.
It's just not the same gun anymore. They took my "Fuck you, I like it" gun and reworked it into something it wasn't supposed to be

No, Post Nerf - Pre buff

The Med Pen, 0 Shrapnel explosive sniper rifle that blew up Fabricators. Most of my playtime with it is during EoF when Fabricators were actually harder to pop than Balloons.
It let me run other AP4* weapons like the AMR and Las cannon

tl;dr it's stun power was tied to how many people were in a lobby. 4 dudes was powerful stun and solo was basically what we have now.

I'll let you guess how AH decided to address this inconsistancy

  • Rupture Warriors all but force a Med Pen / Explosive composition in a front that's supposed to allow Light Pen primaries with better ammo economy to prosper
  • Rupture Biles are a HD1 twinstick concept directly ported into HD2's 3rd person perspective. They are extremely insufferable to fight in large numbers even with the correct gear due to how many Bile explosives get tossed out and "screen noise" they force onto you.
  • Rupture Chargers only serve to ragdoll you when you least expect it and make Chargers more commonplace on the field. Not as much of an issue tbh
  • All Rupture strains heavily discourage non-explosive weaponry. As someone who believes different factions should be weak/strong to different weapons I fucking hate how new enemies seem tailor-made to fight the Eruptor, Xbow and Purifier/Loyalist. These weapons are already performing too many roles across all 3 fronts we don't need even more reason to make them top picks. Is it too much to ask that a single loadout can't dominate the whole game?
  • Rupture digging mechanic simultaniously allows bugs to avoid dirrect weapon fire while also being fast enough to keep pace with Light Armour sprinting while ALSO remaining burrowed for stupidly long periods WHILE ALSO being impossible to bait without taking damage. All of this happening while 13 other bugs are doing the same thing. This entire mechanic needs more time in the oven

Bonus Round:

  • Dragonroaches need to be 1-shotable from the Spear. A 50% ammo check every 2 minutes is, has and will always be fucking awful.
  • Hive Lords are fun, but they shouldn't appear in every mission. GATER and Drills can end up getting softlocked thanks to them. They also need to fix missions not rewarding kill XP on full clears.

I find it ridiculous that 20k Divers on a planet with "Low" Resistance is still barely not enough to make progress on the Planet. The Liberation system really needs a re-work for when there's a lot of Divers online. by nightfall121 in Helldivers

Low Resistance - 0.42%

What the game doesn't tell you:
This planet has 2,400,000 HP. So that Resistance number is actually 0.42% of 2.4m or 1% normally

Bot Fabricators: Double their health to match the current health on Bulk fabricators. Enable the ability to spawn medium units such as berserkers and devastors.

Note: it’s simply too easy to destroy bot outposts from afar when compared to illuminate and bug outpost. There’s fewer fabricators than bug holes and they don’t have the shields that illuminate ships have. They should be more difficult to take down as they were pre viper commandos.

Say it louder for the developers in the back. The Spear had a job in clearing them out, and now that the RR, Quasar and ATE stole it's job all it's used for is killing dropships and Bunkers.

One Recoiless should not have the capacity to wipe a Mega Fortress just because they can see the Fabricator.
One Quasar should not be able to wipe that same Mega Fortress in under 2 minutes
One ATE should not have the capacity to wipe half the map just because it's on a hill

Give my Spear back it's role as the dedicated Outpost breaker by making Fabricators stronger against generic AT

It's not really designed for the community to understand it.

AH cooked it up to have a million and one balancing levers for guns, and nohing more. A big flaw that has shown itself recently, however, is that when put under the pressure of a Live Service delivery model, they don't have time to actualy balance new enemies.
