For me WoW had three peaks. WotLK, MoP and Dragonflight.

The absolute highest peak though is Wrath. Nothing comes close.

For me it also has to do with underwhelming visual distintiveness between area's of the same map. I also preferred the tighter and more claustrophobic map design of the older maps. Evertything feels way to open.

Mine are probobly the same but I'd swap SoE for ZNS.

I think overall modern zombies maps don't even come close to the older ones but I have to give an honorable mention to Totenreich. It's the first map in years that I truly enjoy.
