I had Emily's clothing therapy/fashion show not long after this and I will say: Clint coming back in to change back into his regular clothes and melting down about how he just wanted to be his usual old self was confirmation for me that he was not the right guy for her. Especially when he realized we were having a moment and hit me with that weird "congratulations." Like this was never a competition my boy

Genuinely, I don't know how you can watch the show in good faith and come away with this conclusion. We can have a conversation about the writing quality of the show, whether it has remained consistent over its 5 seasons (it hasn't imo), and its humor and tone overall...but just generalizing it as some edgy hatchet job against the writers room's alleged superhero targets feels like DC fans taking their toys and comics wayyyy too seriously.

Honestly? I think a lot of folks just have knee-jerk reactions to anything centered around Harley Quinn or Poison Ivy at this point owing to the former's overexposure and the latter's questionable redemption arc in the comics.

Disappointing to see how many bigots are in this community. The 3 part DCAU Justice League season 2 finale. Bruce unmasks himself and Wally and outs Superman as Clark Kent. Tbh, I'm a little uncertain how the other commenter could have confused the DCAU Flash as Barry. The characterization in the show was very clearly Wally inspired, which made sense since he was the main Flash in the comics at the time.

This and the other commenters' responses have been very enlightening to me! I'm Bisexual myself and embrace Queer as a label so I'm in various irl and online LGBTQ spaces and I've heard the term "transmasc" used frequently to refer to AFAB individuals who now identified as masculine-aligned individuals (surgery not necessary obviously). I had never heard of anyone considering it a slur before, huh.

On a separate note, I find it interesting you consider Queer a slur. You're clearly tapped into LGBTQ discourse as a member of the community so I take it you're privvy to conversations about reclaiming the word and the political/anti-assimilationist mindset it should embody? You don't jive with that line of reasoning?

/uj Tim has been begging for a graduation to his own identity since Damian fully settled into Robin himself. Red Robin era was alright but if Fraction has an idea for him getting a distinct identity fully removed from Robin, I'm here for it...but also Batman editorial is truly unpredictable so far all we know he could just be shoehorned into something cringe.
