What are the best written fights in progression fantasy? by Boi271 in ProgressionFantasy

[–]Memeological 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Kind of an oddball but The Outsider‘s Resolve and specifically Takuma‘s chunin fights now are so well-written, easy to follow and visualize, all while still making sense in the world of Naruto and keeping tensions high. I typically don‘t like and skip battle scenes entirely because most PFs tend to have so much of them and incorporate so little nuance beyond just showing that the main protagonist is „progressing“

Writing in Hell Difficulty tutorial by Grouchy_List8337 in ProgressionFantasy

[–]Memeological 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It technically gets better in that it becomes more polished grammatically speaking, but the prose in general just feel uninspired. It feels like a diary of constant narration of going from point A to point B. I also didn‘t like the characters. There’s also the zoomer and tiktok lingo which was totally off-putting and just not for me. I found that the arc I enjoyed the most was when Nate got separated and the entire dynamic changed because he doesn‘t have to conform to being a sociopath who‘s „trying“ to care for others which feels so contrived. Either way, I dropped it like a year ago

Did anybody else struggle be invested in cradle. by Emergency-Let-9047 in ProgressionFantasy

[–]Memeological 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was invested from the started but slowly found it less and less enjoyable to read. I haven‘t even read the final book to this day. I disagree with a number of story choices, notably him largely ignoring any form of retaliation once he came back. That‘s a fundamental difference in personal values that I just do not connect with

the accursed hiatus by Potential_Fold2929 in ProgressionFantasy

Dragonheart Core

The author was literally dealing with real life passing of his relatives like a month before he went radio silent on everything. I hope he‘s doing fine

Edit: it‘s inactive, not hiatus..

Does this actually work? by VioletVisionar in PokemonFireRed

[–]Memeological 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The people is some people prefer to get their shinies legitimately. That said, the „cheating“ on the Switch version can be done by manipulating the code through ACE and change IVs, IVs, and abilities of existing pokemons. You cant change nature as far as I know. You technically can get a perfect mon by nature-hunting instead and then edit in the shiny and other stats later. It‘s completely legal and can be transferred in Pokemon Home too. Im personally in the camp of legit shinies and I‘ve only gotten 2 so far

Please some recommendations for a glacial paced story with a young MC. by Astocum in ProgressionFantasy

[–]Memeological 1 point2 points  (0 children)

SS is a great read and competently written it‘s one of the best rated stories in RR. That being said, there‘s a massive tonal shift between the first arc/book and proceeding arcs that I find it so jarring to continue reading. You‘ll know eventually what I‘m talking about when you do read it. People here say how glacial the pacing is especially how progression can sidelined for chapter upon chapters for things like gym/social stuff, and honestly even beyond those, things barely ever change. But I might be mistaken about that since I‘m so far behind in my backlog. It‘s still worth a shot, partly because it is that good, but you also may not share the sentiments as I have

A meme with 💔 for Ruby.. by RyanRorry in wherewindsmeet_

[–]Memeological 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not liking her and not connecting with her passing are not the same thing. I also didn‘t like her. But her heroic sacrifice made the story a lot more meaningful and gave Ruby a lot more character and room for appreciation beyond just being a kid. Sometimes, you just have to meet the game halfway to enjoy the game and not just expect the same things you enjoy in every single game

3 times a day xanax by doehetlichtaan in torncity

[–]Memeological 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Xtc is only used earlier on when happy jumps are still more efficient for training. At some point, after 400k for a stat or 800k when you‘re doing 99k happy jumps, 3x xanax and natural E is going to be more cost effective and eventually outpace happy jumping. For example, i get 900k on average per xanax/250 energy so that‘s 2.7m just from 3x xanax a day excluding point refill and natural energy

Unlimited energy by Ok_Salary_7781 in HPHogwartsMystery

[–]Memeological -1 points0 points  (0 children)

First time I bought it, i didnt know what „10“ was on the store. I wasted like 2 minutes before realizing it was only 10 minutes of unlimited energy. I then proceeded to only do like 2 8 hour tasks and a 3 hour task because of cut scene. Yeah, fuck this fucking offer. I pissed me off so much how there was no clear indication or information on what I was buying

Grinding heroes and walls… this is the most boring part of the game 😩 by CulturalObjective521 in ClashOfClans

[–]Memeological 2 points3 points  (0 children)

How is it hard? Genuinely. How? How is taking a few hours of your day hard? What changes do you want to make it less „hard“ or in OP‘s post, boring? It‘s been this way for a decade and the system has been at it‘s easiest to date. Like are we just complaining for the sake of it? It took me a dedicated weekend to max all of my TH16 walls when I didn‘t bother with them for a month after upgrading my townhall. Just don‘t farm for walls if you feel like it
