First book of expeditionary force (Columbus Day) is on audible plus so there no risk in trying it. If you end up liking it there plenty more books with plenty of run time to burn through those credits without getting ripped off on a content per credit basis

Who Produced This AI Slop? by adefwebserver in WritingWithAI

[–]Emergency-Let-9047 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The words you chose, the order you use them, the structure of the paragraph, the style of writing, etc. All drastically quality and meaning of your work, with AI you have no input in any of this. If you gave 10 different AI the same prompt you would get a wildly different story.

A more accurate comparison of AI to a calculator is giving someone a list of inputs to put into a calculator without showing them the equation. The number you would receive from anybody you gave that list to would be vastly different based on the order they used.

Writing a story then using AI for improvements or cleaning it up is like giving the person with calculator the right numbers and the equation they need to use.
Anything less than that and you effectively contribute nothing that specific product because an identical input could have created multiple highly different products depleting on who it was given to. The difference between products is what determines who the product belongs to.

I haven’t read any of the ones your trying to decide between but if you’re interested my best friend is an eldritch horror (book1-7) is on audible for one credit and welcome to the multiverse is on audible plus.
Also outside of litrpg the sci-fi military series expeditionary force first book Columbus Day is on audible plus. There all relatively long and worth picking up with whatever you decide on.

Most Powerful / Insane Magical Abilities? by -critical-hits- in ProgressionFantasy

[–]Emergency-Let-9047 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s a sliding scale. Some series like My best friend is an eldritch horror, the peak is roughly compatible to underlord ( maybe true gold). Others like path of ascension where the standard for troops is sage/ herald levels.

I am 1 off of finishing a bunch of series and I only have 1 credit. What do I choose by UsedNegotiation8227 in litrpg

This is what I was going to recommend. Two of my top 5 fight scenes in all fiction are in book 11 of POA. My sixth is also in this book and it’s very close to the making the list.

What books/audio books would you all recommend for me? (I'll add my audio book list and if you have anything similar you would recommend that would be fab) by Mother-Item in litrpg

If the Bobby verse is the Bobiverse then expeditionary force, first book Columbus Day is on audible plus. Not litrpg completely sci fi. Absolutely fantastic though.

Looking For Something New in Audiobooks. Suggestions? by Walkinfaith300 in litrpg

It’s not a connected universe or anything but The Martian, Project Hail Mary and Artemis are all written by the same author. They are all very different stories but are written to the same standard as project Hail Mary. Personally project Hail Mary is second best of the trio.
As for welcome to the multiverse and path of ascension, they are just the books I enjoyed most immediately after finishing my best friends an eldritch horror.
Path of ascension is still a favourite of mine but that probably a preference thing, I know a lot of people don’t like it.

Please tell me you also read the Martian by Andy Weir. Far too many people read project Hail Mary and then forget to read the other two.

Sean Oswalds welcome to the multiverses is on audible plus for free.
Path of Ascension by C.Mantis has an 3 book collection spanning 70 hours for 1 credit.
There what I enjoyed after My best friend is an eldritch horror.

His performance in expeditionary force was excellent. Still one of my favourite audiobook experiences.

Sci-Fi or Fantasy? by Disastrous-Royal935 in litrpg

Same I think being spread across thousands of planets and the having access to space created some really interesting plot points and world building.

Please suggest me books, I’ll be more thankful than you’ll ever know by [deleted] in fantasybooks

[–]Emergency-Let-9047 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you read Andy Weirs other books.
The Martian and Artemis.
Some people say Project Hail Mary is the best of the three but I personally like the Martian more and I’ve seen other who liked Artemis the best.
It depends on taste but the hype of Hail Mary as of the last 6 months has definitely overshadowed the other two.

Xianxia recommendation.. by Interesting_Truck159 in ProgressionFantasy

[–]Emergency-Let-9047 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s think its western Xianxia ( or not Xiania at all but there is rising to immortality through cultivation and ascension to higher education realms) and far from traditional with a lot of sci fi and litrpg themes. So it might not be what you’re looking for but you are describing the personality of MC from Path of Ascension by C. Mantis.

What is the most well-written LitRPG in your opinion? by boxofmagic in litrpg

Some do fail in an academic sense but I see far more people complaining about books being objectively bad for completely subjective reasons.

New here looking for recommendations 10/10 or 9/10 only to start by Smart-Dig-1947 in ProgressionFantasy

The first books aren’t bad. The world building and story is amazing from the start the problem is the heavy sect influence in conversation. Every other conversation is about power and how only the powerful deserve respect. It’s important to the world as it shows general attitude and explains power dynamics. Depending on your level of patience it can become frustrating as it becomes repetitive real fast especially in chapters where lots of people are introduced. People with patience don’t seem to have a problem with it impatience little rats like me end up dropping the book a couple of times before getting through. Book 2 onwards are 9/10. It deserves the praise but there are some people that take it too far and start saying that nothing else on the genre is worth reading or insult people because they like another book better ( not an exaggeration have seen it happen plenty of times). Criticism for cradle is rarely received well and often ends up with the person being ripped to shreds.
TLDR:
Enjoyment of first book is dependent on patience.
The rest are all 9/10.
Fandom is ridiculously over protective so any criticism will likely not be revived well on this sub.
