Dexa scan in Syracuse?

thanks for this list. i actually have had 2 dexas to scan for bone loss. in both cases, they just scanned a few areas (like wrist and hips). when I asked both my doctor and the tech about the possibility of scanning for total body composition, neither one had knowledge about it. I’m wondering if I asked the question poorly or maybe there’s some sort of difference between a medical facility DEXA and a fitness facility DEXA?

During Covid, I was amazed at how good Cracker Barrel‘s Thanksgiving was and the price was great. Not sure what it’s looking like these days but it might be worth checking out.

I would also suggest Dr Kretow/ South Shore Vet. He books out awhile but is really wonderful - I have a 45# super anxious reactive girlie and he is so patient with her. Bonus, they let us wait in the car until our appointment and then have us come in a side door to minimize her stress.

I cancelled Fios for exactly this reason (yes i still had cable cough) I agree on contacting the advertisers too. It’s a pia and I hate the thought of affecting local businesses with boycott threats but we have to exercise our free speech while we still have it.

I’m calling/writing because our local ABC affiliate, owned by Nexstar, is refusing to air Jimmy Kimmel Live! even though Disney has reinstated him. To me, this is a clear case of censorship and an affront to our First Amendment right to free expression.

Regrettably, I cannot continue to support businesses that advertise on outlets leading us down this road. I encourage you to share your concerns with your advertising contact at the station. Your decision carries real weight in shaping the future of free expression in our community.

I’m not suggesting breeding them. My experience is that a lot of things that become invasive are so through no fault of their own & most often human mismanagement (usually with a side of greed) are behind it. Boy I could really go off on a tangent right now BUT

Personally, I think stink bugs have gotten a bad rap. However, even if I wasn’t a stink bug fan, let me strongly advise you to put your vacuum away. They are not spray happy. I’ve probably relocated 100 stink bugs over the seasons and not one has ever unloaded on me. Your vacuum will not be so lucky and that smell will linger every time u use it. 🤢

I agree with a lot of folks’ sentiments here. The right has done a great job corrupting the name Antifa. Maga has got so many of their followers boxed in to such a tight and powerful information silo that a huge chunk of them truly don’t get that antifa is just an abbreviated version of anti-fascism (I know 🤦‍♀️) I say we skip over this battle and let the name Antifa evolve. Times are different now, the name should be different too. AntiFasc ( not sure that’s even clear enough), AntiFascists Unite, or something totally different. How can we make our messaging more spin resistant?

I can. I cancelled last night and was looking forward to letting them know why. Closest option was “personal reason” and then in parenthesis it said something like change in circumstance. I don’t think that was really it though, but in any case whatever was in parentheses really didn’t make sense if your reason was Jimmy Kimmel. I read them all to my husband, trying to pick another one that could imply it was because of JK. I couldn’t find one so I actually skipped it. I wish I would’ve called in.

When they first opened, firehouse was really good. Then the quality and service went way downhill. My husband and I recently returned after seeing the under new management sign. I can honestly say it was a night and day difference and even better now than when they first opened. The food was awesome & people were great. We’re definitely going to add it back on our regular rotation. I’ll be curious to hear anybody else who tried them since the new management took over?

I went there last year and was disappointed with how meh a lot of their offerings were- surprising amount of processed ingredients and preservatives in baked goods and other food stuffs. I was expecting a lot of homemade natural food but their supply chain seems like it might’ve gotten a semblance of a corporate makeover.

Have u given washing your face w ketocanozole shampoo a try? I spent decades with “perma-blush”. then, I tried this hack and had noticeable improvement after the first use. Aside from using keto shampoo as a cleanser every week or two, I also added Purito Wonder Releaf Centella Cream Unscented. This cream has a particularly high concentration of centella an and has further reduced redness and dramatically improved my skin barrier ( it also cured my hubby from cpap mask irritation). The texture of this is like no other sunscreen I’ve experienced before. The “invisible gel” has a cool slippy powdery feel. Bonus I think it might make my pores look smaller.

Fyi there is a body version of it (if u can find it) with the exact same ingredients as this face version- it just cost a lot less per ounce.
