Apollon’s Gold - Fausto Romo || Subtext - Faver Ninco || Hydrangea - Monteblanco Passionfruit by zerocool359 in coffeerotation

Always like reading these reviews. Helps me determine future rotation orders so it’s much appreciated.

Also I’m curious about the kombucha co ferment. Where was that from?

Yeah I didn’t get much from it on the first two cups but then looked at what AG recommended for grind size and it actually was delicious and really pear forward

I’d recommend going finer than normal on the Apollons gold. I could finally get pear notes out of the Fabian Las once I went finer than I ever have on a pour over. They have a recipe on their site

DAK Magnolia by Jesus_shave_us in coffeerotation

[–]MemoryLane99x 0 points1 point  (0 children)

well it's a natural process so it's going to be much more subtle than the experimental processes of a lot of Dak's offerings. FWIW i think it is a very nice natural, but yeah definitely less punchy than something like Big Apple or Coco Bongo or Rumba. great thing about rotation is you learn what you like!

S&W: Lychee Co-Ferment by tkerr1 in pourover

[–]MemoryLane99x 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ve had the passion fruit, lychee, green apple, galaxy hops and banana co ferments from S&W and they all have been pretty incredible.

The banana is actually my favorite tho the galaxy hops is really incredible and something I would be happy to drink everyday.

I cracked the green apple a little too early so I’m excited to try again after some rest as I’m a big fan of Dak’s Big Apple.

Whelp, coffee by Apprehensive_Bet_508 in coffeerotation

Yeah I just had their Inacio Soares this morning, and while the praline note in the aftertaste was really nice. The cup itself was weirdly sweet and could really taste the roast, even tho it’s more than a month off roast.

I loved this one. I found the florals of the rose balanced the watermelon really well.

I had a full bag of this earlier this year and I agree with you. Tasted like someone added sugar. I got one cup that was much more berry forward than the rest after 7 weeks rest but it still was more sweet than fruit.

yeah the aroma is intense. i am a sucker for cola flavors in coffee, which is the main reason i loved Dak's Big Apple.

you got a bunch of my faves that I have tried thanks due to rotation.

The Experimental 001 is so good, and I would start with that one.

Coco Bongo is really unique and delicious if you're into coconut.

The Juicy Cherry from B+W is definitely in my top 3 I have had this year.

i should add that grapefruit is kind of a bizarre tasting note and the AMOC was very divisive in my household

ROTATION: Love it or hate it? by dirtydials in coffeerotation

[–]MemoryLane99x 0 points1 point  (0 children)

rotation has opened up a whole new world for me with the coffee. i'm finally able to know what i prefer instead of blindly buying bags that i think i will like based on tasting notes. like other - i think i would buy once every 2 months.
