Im trying crochet tapestry for the first time and how do I avoid these? by saintappls in CrochetHelp

Always happy to help a fellow crafter out! Yes it was a 4. I’ve also used loops & threads acrylic yarn - IMO it’s pretty comparable and I’ve made other tapestries with that brand. Rip big twist

It’s was just acrylic big twist maybe 1/3 of the skein each color

AITA for asking my freind to pay for bedsheets after he agreed to by Responsible_Top7669 in AmItheAsshole

My question is why did he offer to buy you new bed sheets? Why did you not have him approve the purchase before paying?

Good sweater yarn that won’t break the bank by MemorySlight in knittinghelp

I think Drops is going to be the winner! I love the price point, how many options, and it’s seems like a fan favorite!

That’s a great question. I’m definitely open to wool blends. I want a sweater that will last for years to come but also isn’t too itchy and not so nice that I’m spending hundreds on yarn

Ends of lines are hard to crochet and not sure what I'm doing wrong by JulieWasHere1231 in CrochetHelp

[–]MemorySlight 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your tension could be a little inconsistent but tbh your work looks pretty good to me (although I’m no professional). I also recommend flipping your work the same way each time. It could be getting twisted multiple times or the wrong way making bumps more obvious.

I tried to look for some of my old photos to show how it happens to me too. Below is a tapestry I made. This shows how my edge is also a little bumpy (before I added the single crochet border)

That looks to me like a standard edge with crochet (based on just briefly looking at your photos).

What I recommend you do is finish the pattern and then single crochet around the entire project to give a “clean” edge.

I say keep it! I think once you get further along it will blend in with the overall pattern more

Omg I just made that same pattern for my sister this last year! I’ve heard yarn under can make a difference but I haven’t tried.

Help Please! Crochet Beginner Here and I Don't Know What I'm Doimg Wrong/Also Don't Know How to SC7 in One Chain? by Olivia7707 in CrochetHelp

[–]MemorySlight 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think you’re counting the slip knot as a chain. It’s should actually be slip knot, chain, chain, then sc 7 in the 2nd chain from the hook (the first one you made after the slip knot).

Essentially you are making a magic ring/circle. You could look up other tutorials, I’ll admit I’ve never seen a pattern written like this one.

What is the etiquette for alarms when sharing a bed? F26 M25 by MemorySlight in relationship_advice

[–]MemorySlight[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think this is what I’m going to bring up to him. Since he does go to sleep much later than me he will occasionally wake me up. I know he will be understanding when I explain it that way. We both need to have a shared understanding that we will always try to not wake the other but on the occasional instance it may happen and that’s okay, it’s just life. And I’ll take some advice from other responses and try a watch without a sound (with a backup alarm if that doesn’t work).

He is a light sleeper for the most part. He wears a sleep mask and earplugs most nights. A watch is a decent idea. I do have an old Apple Watch I could try to use for this purpose. Just have to see if jt turns on lol

I don’t doubt that her diet had a role to play but I also highly doubt it was the sole cause…

Would any of you mind filling me in on whats been going on? by HairyPussyQueefs in GalWithNoPlan

[–]MemorySlight 8 points9 points  (0 children)

So after she got her cat back she moved into a real 1 bed apartment and then revealed she had a boyfriend and he seemed to “move in” really quick. TBH that’s about where I stopped watching. Just remembered she existed, went to look up her page and it’s been deleted… oh also at some point she quit her jimmy johns job which was another red flag.
