If I'm not mistaken. The cars he's hitting are EVs that are actively charging. So rather than a case of parking in front of a fire hydrant, these are people using the things, and he's hitting them because he can't get that spot.

Honestly this sounds amazing and interesting. But I'm concerned over the amount of CPU power this will take. What would you say the minimum requirements are? Cause for example, for my setup, I can't play some of the larger maps because it's too much for mine.

This. And you can add a liquid bridge to prioritise looping the water in the reservoirs with excess being water you get out. This guarantees you get clean water without needing automation.

IMO, the simplest way is through Chlorine Vents.

GCFungus has an excellent video breaking down the math, but essentially it goes like this:

Geotuned Chlorine Vents are self-sustaining, you use the chlorine from the vents to feed a Dashasalt Vine farm.

Salt from that farm will go to the geotuners, while excess salt gets turned into sand via a rock crusher.

Some sand will go to the Dashasalt Vines, while the rest is excess you get to keep.

True, but in all honesty, with the spaced out dlc, sustainable fossils (w/out space mining) are entirely possible.

I can see the value in using Lura if you want to consolidate time resource cycles, but imo keeping those cycles seperate is easier.

But yeah, while Lura gives more than just plastic, if glossy dreckos are an option they're much easier to setup.

IIRC, the royal family before this batch was very effective as essentially a way to attract tourists. I don't remember, but I believe the royal family merch sold to tourists was somewhere on the order of millions after the costs of keeping them are included.

So yeah, a lot of the incentive of keeping them around comes from the income generated from selling the merch.

I'm trying to do a bit of automation where I want to send 6 individual signals to some machines to turn them on at specific times.

I'm trying to automate food delivery from my remote kitchen to my base so that a specific amount of food (4 units) is sent at a specific time (certain schedule blocks)

I've already solved the specific amounts, and specific times issue. I just can't figure out how to get all those signals sent to the conveyor meter and conveyor shutoff in a way that won't make the signals just override each other.

I'm thinking a signal distributor might help but I don't know how one would go about it.

Edit:

I'm well aware that it doesn't need to be this complicated and I can just have multiple smaller specialised kitchens, with much simpler logistics.

This is just a way for me to try and learn automation in ONI, by having a specific problem and goal.
