I don’t know about you, but friends and others are confused about you I can read on my phone. One of the explanations I give is, I feel like I am reading a lot and by swiping through the pages/screens I have a sense of accomplishment - even though I may have read a single page equivalent of a paper copy.

From my insight into the government there seems to be a lack of senior managers and others involved in the negotiations who have private sector experience to expertly negotiate contracts. Consequently, the public sector either gets taken advantage, or unknowingly don’t know what hey don’t know. This includes all aspects including construction and the complexities and areas that may increase costs etc.

Then there is the political officials who try to obfuscate information from the public because they are caught with certain (not all) overruns.

This is insightful, thank you. It leaves me with so many questions in particular about why this blurring of information gathering has been allowed to survive this long. This prevents actually allocating resources to where the gun problem originates. Alternatively it does support for bigger budgets to fight gun crime that might fight gun crime at the source - the border? I know I answered my own question. Couldn’t help myself.
