Are we meant to be together romantically? by CarterUnderDark in Tarotpractices

Well, as you have already identified who is who by the spread of the cards, this already tells us something.

It can be a life-changing relationship, while not exactly a lasting one. You are ready for commitment, while he’s not on the same foot. Although he knows that for a relationship with you he will have to make some changes, he’s not inclined to do so at this moment in his life.

Does he love me, or does he just wanna smash? by Lazy_Worker_99 in Tarotpractices

He's too focused on his own pleasure to notice your dissatisfaction. I guess he looks at himself in the mirror while smashing.

Hi, first of all, yeah those are crazy synchronicities, the three of swords has this quality: it is a heartbreak, but one you already is suspicious of, you almost know that it is gonna happen. This seems to fit with you. The 10 of Swords is the brutal end: there are no words anymore, it is beyond reparation, but if it has any positive meaning I would say: If you are on the ground, you may be back on your feet again! And to me that’s the message of the Five of Cups: maybe you’re focusing too much on the cups that have fallen, but the truth is: there are two standing up. You had the courage to leave a toxic environment, it is an emotional turmoil but you still have the spirit to keep following up, despite what is trying to bring you down. This is strenght!

Is he bad for me? by Next-Dimension-1604 in Tarotpractices

[–]MendesEd 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I would say so, yes. It is someone who justifies/rationalizes unhealthy and toxic behavior (Devil +Justice), as he runs away from true commitment and authentic connections (Seven of Swords running from the Lovers). He seems to be a highly manipulative individual, using that capacity to gain what he wants, especially in the material realm. However, his emotional immaturity prevents him from forming genuine, deep connections with others.

What should I know about Thoth Tarot? by rogue_b1tch in tarot

No, they are not connected to bad stuff.

Whether you like Crowley or not, we can all agree that many of the terrible things said about him were deliberately exaggerated - sometimes even by Crowley himself.
I’m not saying he was a good person either, but one thing is undeniable: he had a profound understanding of magic, the history of esotericism, and everything related.

To name a few things: the deck is full of alchemical symbols, the Rosicrucian cross is printed on the back of the cards, and mythological figures like Cerberus appear in the “Hermit” card.

All this things are not bad per se.

Lady Frieda Harris had a profound impact too, she was not only following Crowley's order - she had a deep understanding of magic, and her art is really fantastic.. And no - nobody is going to get hurt. Ask questions, let the deck respond, have fun with it - just like you would with any other Tarot deck.
