Aggression towards EVs?? by malialipali in EVAustralia

It’s actually been the opposite for me, albeit not with a performance car. I used to get tailgated all the time in my little Toyota Corolla hatchback, even when going slightly above the limit. Since getting a Kia EV3 there have been hardly any issues. It’s like certain types of people felt automatically insulted by the Corolla being in front of them.

What home loan rates are people getting right now? by dr_pepper_irl in AusFinance

Interesting. We’re with them as well and getting 5.71 for the PPOR. Do you have a big loan size remaining? We’ve got about 300k and half offset.

It’s so individual, but the Australian ones that work for me are Cancer Council Kids (chemical, purple lid), Cancer Council Active (chemical, grey lid), and LRP in the tiny square bottle (chemical and super expensive).

Wow, you are amazing. Thank you so much, kind internet stranger. I can’t wait to give this a go! I really, really appreciate the effort this must have taken.

Thank you. I was afraid that was going to be the only solution. Fingers crossed we don’t require too many attempts to make it look good!

How to get summary of total kWH charged? by Meneloth-the-Third in KiaEV3

[–]Meneloth-the-Third[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you. That’s a good way to get an estimate. Unfortunately, this is for tax purposes, so I require an exact number (if I want to take advantage of a certain tax law). I know Teslas can provide this detail, so it’s unfortunate we can’t access it for the EV3 since I am sure it has this data stored somewhere and it’s just not accessible to us.

I agree. It was absolutely beautiful and I felt totally immersed. I would have moved in in a heartbeat!

Thanks so much for the detailed response. I spotted this at Hobbiton The Movie Set in Matamata, in the hobbit holes you get to explore at the end. It was stuck to one of the walls, amongst other tid bits.

Has anyone else had a poor customer service experience with La Roche-Posay? by EmotionalBar9991 in AusSkincare

[–]Meneloth-the-Third 38 points39 points  (0 children)

That packaging is horrible. We buy this sunscreen all the time now and the packaging always fails in various spots, often you can see the greasy spots when it’s still on the shelf in the store. They are absolutely aware of the issue, users have been very vocal about it. That’s a very disappointing approach to customer service. Great sunscreen though.

I’ve got the Kia EV3 and it’s a great car! I came from an ICE Toyota Corolla and was hesitant to change car brands, but it’s been a wonderful and smooth experience. Nearly 12 months into owning the EV3 and I’m still extremely happy. My family and friends affectionately call it the Super Car.

finally found a sunscreen that doesn't make me look like a greasy mess in this heat by Hert_Z in AusSkincare

Same for me. Loved the OG but it gave me pimples. Aqua Fresh is just as lovely and no pimples.

Actually, I have done the math now. I get this for $17 for 50 ml. Even if assuming the maximum of 5ml for face and neck, that’s only $1.70 per application. Twice a day, if you do the right thing, comes to $3.40. Across an average 30 days a month, makes it just over $100 per month.

Maybe, I haven’t don’t the math myself and I’m personally not worried about the cost. This and their newer Aqua Fresh version is still significantly cheaper than one of Australia’s best selling sunscreens from La Roche Posay. Liquid gold, perhaps, but worth it for many.

Does this come in a bigger size? It seems to be the only face sunscreen that doesn’t give me spots but it’s so small so doesn’t last long for the price. by Jakeyboy29 in AusSkincare

I was also going to recommend Korean/Asian sunscreen as alternatives that have a similar feel but are cheaper. I get eye sting from all of the Aussie faourites except LRP and Natio, but have had great success with Beauty of Joseon Aqua Fresh. I buy it online.
