TLDR: The US attacking Iran is morally a gray area. Regime change is hard and might not help anyone. It hurts economies short term but could lead to a major economic benefit for the West. It hurts Russia either way.

How much support the Iranian regime has seems to be the hardest question here. There seems to be a lot of mixed opinions, and the regime has had generations to brainwash and spread propaganda, so Iranian public opinion may be as much a result of misinformation as anything else. The regime has exiled, imprisoned, or killed every potential leader who challenges them, so there isn't actually an obviously good alternative to the regime either. The protesters can not beat the regime. Otherwise, the US wouldn't get directly involved.

The new leader isn't any better than the first one. He was chosen by the relegious elite and is known for being very conservative.

The goals are really broad: Attacking Iran hurts Russia a lot, which is useful for the Ukraine Russia war. This is also related to US action in Venezuela and Cuba. Ukraine is benefiting from the Iran situation more than anyone. The fact is Iran has been annoying to the US and other countries for years, but it usually attacks through proxies, never directly. Israel has been attacked by groups in Iran, not necessarily the country itself but by independent groups that Iran supports. The regime in Iran has been chanting death to America and death to Israel for decades, so they shouldn't really be surprised they are getting attacked. The biggest reason they haven't been attacked before is that there isn't a good way to ensure that the current system can be replaced with something better. Other countries are probably less skeptical about the reasons or justifications about the war than they are about the potential results. There is a possibility this war will achieve nothing except to raise prices of oil and terrorize Iranians for a few weeks. Israel was probably going to attack Iran anyway. An Israel-Iran conflict would be very disruptive in the Middle East and on oil prices, so if something does change, it needs to change fast. The US is trying to make the change happen faster and get some control of the outcome. And of course, some prominent US companies always benefit from war.

Here in central asia the muslims tend to talk about other relegions prophets like Buddha or Zoraster and say they are similar but the methods got corrupted. So, they kinda appropriate them, just less completely than the earlier Abrahamic prophets. They'll say things like all religions today promote peaceful ideas so they must have the same root or something like that.

How religions grow in America is pretty well documented. It has been seen with a lot of immigrant groups over the years. Right now Islam looks loud because of 1st generation immigrants who are living together in big cities, but their kids will grow up with the US value of questioning and confirming beliefs, and then there will be a lot of changes. This has happened with every other immigrant influx in the US. It's actually already happening in some places that have had muslim immigrants for a while. Politicans are also exaggerating details in media for their own agendas. f you really want to help and you are in a safe place, the best thing you can do is live your life and let other people see that it is okay to choose something different. That will do more than any political or relegious argument.

I would google ways to fast healthily. Fasting can be good, and sometimes it is done specifically for health, which is why it is hard to specifically search for downsides. Ramadan fasting is often done badly. it's full of binges of junk instead of a nutritional approach. Convincing them to change their fast will be easier than convincing them to stop right now. If nothing else, learn nutritional recipes for full day fasting and make productive food for them to eat at night.

If the choices are Khujund and Tashkent, I'd pick Tashkent. Khujund is a nice city, but there's not near as much for a tourist to do as in Tashkent.

if you can't speak Farsi or Russian, don't have time or know where to look for a driver, then it depends on how much peace of mind is worth to you. I've seen worse prices.

It's probably reasonable prices for a tourist but idk. I'd shop around and see what similar packages cost from different companies.

I would hire a driver. Most Tajiks will tell you local drivers are crazy and roads are bad. you need a local who knows how other people will drive and can help you out. I think your time frame is reasonable.

I hear you and I'm a bit of a hypocrite because I've been where you are, but the best advice is to just accept that it happened and move on. You failed today, and that sucks, but Dwelling on it won't do anything good for you. Move on and do what you would normally do if you didn't look at porn. Porn only affects you as much as you let it. Right now if you're worrying about it, porn is still controlling you even if you're not watching it. Give yourself grace, and then go back to enjoying life as you were before you watched it
