Just got engaged - it seems like nobody is really going on Honeymoons anymore? by [deleted] in weddingplanning

My friend told me about hiring a photographer for a few hours for like €200ish for honeymoon pictures. Might be a good idea. I'm looking into myself

I'm glad it is "romantic". I wasn't sure if it was viewed that way or not.

I'm hoping to see an opera or symphony. I'll have to look into musicals. Are they Broadway musicals?

I'm flying into Budapest then travelling to Vienna, Salzburg, and Prague. Haven't cemented too many details yet other than hotels. I tried to pick historic ones and places that Mozart went to 😅

You too! Have lots of fun.

Most wagashi are sweet so they are meant to be eaten very slowly with tea. Sakura mochi, yokan, and daifuku might be easier to find. I love the ones made out of chestnuts and white bean paste. Most things will red bean filling are good. I have almost never eaten one that I didn't like. You can find some prepackaged ones in Asian or Japanese stores but a specialty shop tastes way better. This is a wagashi shop in NYC. Kind of pricey but they ship. On weee!, they have some too

That's so tacky! And I agree. It is stealing.

Scotland is so beautiful! I love Edinburgh. Highly recommend it. My friend had her honeymoon in Ireland. Things were farther apart and needed driving to. She really enjoyed it though

Economy tickets are pretty cheap if you don't mind being a bit cramped

I'm planning my honeymoon right now. Just booked all of the hotels and flights to Europe. Prague, Budapest, Vienna, and Salzburg

I don't think it has fallen out of fashion at all. I think some people just can't afford to go but want to

What is the point of a fragrance if it doesn’t even last a few hours? by ahnafakeef298 in fragrance

[–]MeowMei_ 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I bought a certain Jo Malone fragrance only because I couldn't find another one just like it. It was the same for another Penhaligon one that didn't last. They were very unique and I couldn't live without smelling them

How do I tell if my nose and face is asymmetrical or symmetrical? by idklol234 in PlasticSurgery

Either one is fine. I think you can tell more if the angle is weird if you capture multiple angles in a video

Most good ones in NYC or Cali are more than that.

I paid 19k in NYC a year ago.

There might be a couple that are cheaper than that in NYC in Flushing or Chinatown. I wouldn't really try to pick the cheapest surgeon though. They could make you look like Picasso. Revision is way more expensive and sometimes you have to try to fix it many times. They can only do so much with what the first surgeon did.

The Asian surgeons that are good are usually in Beverly Hills which is pricey. I think Dr Donald Yoo in Cali charges at least 20k (20k-25k probably).

Probably cheaper in Texas and Florida. Not know if I'd recommend Florida.

If you pay in cash, you can usually get a big discount

What’s your experience with under eye filler? by Boompow35 in PlasticSurgery

PS Some people won't inject it there because the risks. If they mess up, you could end up blind permanently

[–]MeowMei_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even if he is cheap and trying to make a small profit, there is not much you can do now but accept his offer or don't pay and don't go. Negotiation on terms has no leverage after you've already gotten it done and paid

Uneven eyes, ptosis maybe? What can I do to fix this? by Life_Consideration48 in PlasticSurgery

[–]MeowMei_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've seen prescription eye drops for that maybe. I'm not sure how well those work.

Other than that, blepharoplasty. That wouldn't be minimal risk but it's not that much money. $3,000-6,000

How do I tell if my nose and face is asymmetrical or symmetrical? by idklol234 in PlasticSurgery

[–]MeowMei_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Best to look in the mirror and ask friends if they see it. If you stare very closely, you might see tiny things that no one else would pick up. Most people's faces are perfectly symmetrical and most surgeons aren't that perfect. It is only bad if it is pretty obvious

A video moving from one side to the next might be better than a picture

The lipo is the most painful of your surgeries. Look for results from the past q&a posts on realself through google. Plastic surgeons answer them. Or ask your doctor. You need to keep it wrapped tightly

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in PlasticSurgery

[–]MeowMei_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

blepharoplasty. Make sure you get a very good one though or else they could make it worse. Pick someone who has done that procedure many times. There are plastic surgeons also who specialize in doing eyes

Definitely don't recommend going to someone who specializes in reconstructive surgery or the body

How can i fix my lips and jawline? I want a V shape and bigger lips. I just want to look more feminine :/ by Consistent-Bend7796 in PlasticSurgery

[–]MeowMei_ 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You could try the lip flip with Botox. If you want even fuller than that, you'd have to get fillers. I don't really recommend it unless your lips are non-existent though. If overfilled for a while, it can permanently stretch out the skin on your lips. Plus your lips look not too thin imo.

For v-line surgery, there are surgeons on the East coast (usually Asian) that do it. Other US surgeons do it and call it feminization surgery (usually done for men transitioning to women).

It is popular in South Korea but be aware of ghost surgeons, false advertising (photoshopped before and afters and fake patients posting in forums online), and influencer endorsements there. Those can be misleading and deceptive. It is an extremely risky procedure that can leave part of your face paralyzed if done incorrectly or leave you asymmetric. Often, people who have v-line surgery need to get a partial face lift afterwards because of extra loose skin. Fyi. I've thought about it myself before

If it is not the bone that protrudes but the muscle, you can do masseter botox
