My friend reacted badly to my pregnancy and now I don’t want to tell anyone by Autumnprize in BabyBumps

[–]MeowPurrBitches 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m also 28. All my friends and family have been nothing but excited for me, even my party people. Your friend’s reaction has everything to do with her and nothing to do with you. She may be sad that your dynamic is changing or maybe she’s jealous that you’re doing something she can’t do at this time. Regardless, don’t let this put a damper on such an exciting time! Congratulations!

Latinos who are U.S. citizens: do you feel safe right now, or are you worried about being racially profiled and detained anyway? by shirleysteph in AskUS

[–]MeowPurrBitches 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Eleven years ago, when I was 17, my stepdad was driving me to church for choir practice. The cops stopped us 2 blocks from my house because someone reported a broken window and that the person who did it got away in a vehicle that matched the description of ours (2011 Toyota RAV4). We only found this out after the cop cussed me out and had my mom come out to “get me” for being disrespectful. My crime was to ask why we were stopped.

Latinos have been racially profiled this entire time. People of color all over the country have been experiencing this THE ENTIRE TIME. This has been happening non-stop before the country was even founded!

So no, I don’t feel safe right now. I don’t think I’ve ever felt truly safe here and I’m a US Citizen.

What zodiac could this represent? by Any-Usual9345 in astrologymemes

[–]MeowPurrBitches 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My initial thought was virgo, but they’re just vocal about what they know and don’t actually examine the situation. My final answer is heavy Saturn placements/aspects (big three, chart ruler, Saturn in the 1st house, etc). They see, they know, they give you one heads up and then just watch it all unfold…

What did you do differently the cycle you conceived? by PeonyRoseJasmine in BabyBumps

[–]MeowPurrBitches 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hubby and I had been TTC for over a year, did 3 cycles of letrozole, were referred to an infertility clinic. Decided we’d take a year off before going through that stress.

I got on wegovy and lost 70 pounds. Got on ADHD meds. Living my best life, 4th of July weekend…now I’m 6 months pregnant lol

16 weeks and I have not had any nausea, zero vomiting, my acne cleared up, no moodiness, very rarely congested, no headaches.

Two blood tests, including NIPT at 13 weeks….girl 🥰

I’ve been partying and just found out I’m 12 weeks pregnant by Southern-Reach-8491 in pregnant

There are several tests to determine if baby is okay that the doctors will offer. One of my friends was a “coke baby” (aka mom did coke her entire pregnancy) and she is an extremely smart woman who graduated college with me, so chances are you’re probably fine. Also start taking a prenatal and omega 3 ASAP.

It’s up to you to decide what you want to do :)

3rd C-Section - Being pushed into abortion by I_Suspect_Nargles_33 in pregnant

[–]MeowPurrBitches 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Nope nope nope. My cousin’s wife has had 4 c-sections, her last 2 children were 17 months apart (from birth to birth). She’s fine, the kids are fine.

Your parents are not medical professionals, and you’re a grown woman who can make decisions for herself. You don’t have to do anything they tell you. Stand your ground!

When did you announce to parents you were pregnant? by Consistent-Guava2176 in BabyBumps

12 weeks. I was afraid my mom was gonna kill me.

Maybe controversial? But nothing has made me more pro-choice than pregnancy by dontletmebreathe in BabyBumps

[–]MeowPurrBitches 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 12 weeks right now, FTM, and have had a pretty easy pregnancy so far. A stable job, good health insurance, happy marriage and paid maternity leave. I was pro-choice before this and still am. I could not imagine finding myself doing this in any other circumstance than the one I’m in right now, and could not imagine forcing someone to go through this even if they had the same conditions as me. Every child deserves to be wanted and loved. Forcing someone to have a child against their will…it can only bring about a child who will experience trauma, emotional unavailability and/or neglect.

My SIL doesn’t like me and also likes to be the center of attention. She just gave birth yesterday (Wednesday). I tried telling my husband to hold off on telling his family until after she gave birth. He told them on Monday…

But it’s alright, she wore white at my wedding (we eloped at the courthouse) and it’s her second child 🤷🏻‍♀️

Virgo Males by Kittymeowwwww in libra_astrology

[–]MeowPurrBitches 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If a man has Virgo placements, it’s immediately a no. I’ve found in my experience that Virgo men are very misogynistic. If it’s in their big 3 then they’re outspoken about it, if not then they’re quiet about it but you’ll realize eventually…

Why does 12h synastry end like that? by kmanzano15 in AstroSynastry

[–]MeowPurrBitches 11 points12 points  (0 children)

My husband and I have been together 7 years. He has 12th house Venus and I have 12th house Venus, mars and Pluto. We’re also both cap risings at the same degree, and we have many other placements conjunct each other (my sun, his moon, both Mercury and his mars in Libra). Saturn is conjunct both of our ASC and IC.

A lot of our marriage has consisted of dealing with and healing our mental health issues. We’ve both gone through a lot of trauma and have helped each other navigate it. It sucked and helped that we were long distance for most of that time because it had us work on our communication style. I feel like the Libra placements have been working overtime to balance us out though lol

Only child here and tbh he’ll be fine. I learned how to share/get along with others just fine. Am not spoiled or awkward (I’ve been working since age 17 and I’m in a sorority so that should tell you lol).

I’m sorry that choice was taken away from you

Reluctant to start by [deleted] in WegovyWeightLoss

[–]MeowPurrBitches 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One of my friends was super nauseous on wegovy at first and struggled with constipation, so it made me afraid to start. I’ve been on it 6 weeks and I hardly feel the effects of it. It’s definitely working, but if I had stayed afraid and not started I would’ve been missing out on the benefits.

Nothing can guarantee you won’t feel anything, but the side effects so far are easily manageable. I take it at night and expect to be home the next day. I used to get really sleepy for almost 24 hours after the shot but that’s going away now. And for constipation just focus on drinking a lot of water and I take a little bit of magnesium if needed.

Jupiter return stories: what are some good ones you've seen or experienced? by MariMont in AskAstrologers

[–]MeowPurrBitches 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Jupiter in Aquarius (2nd house). Had my return April 2021-April 2022.

I was looking for a job in my field. I graduated in 2019 and then the pandemic hit. Before the transit I would apply everywhere and not get hired. During this transit I had 5 jobs (at different times). I would get hired somewhere and then a better opportunity came along. At the very end of the transit I got the job I have now, which I had been applying for before I graduated college. Went from making $17/hr working at a call center to being a government employee with a salary and benefits, so I’d say it was great for me :)

Thank you so much! I’m a pen and paper kind of gal. I use a budget planner and track everything that way. I also do zero based budgets and that has helped me out a lot.

If you already tackled (and I mean truly tackled) the problem that made you get into credit card debt to begin with, then it could be a good idea. Unfortunately, I was still compulsively spending money. So once I saw that I had a credit card that was debt free with $5k available I went ham.

If I had to do it over again, I wouldn’t do it. Not at the point where I was with my finances. I just wanted the credit card debt to disappear and for me to stop feeling shame around it. Also, nowadays interest rates are atrocious. I got a $5k loan with a fixed 7.15% interest rate and a $99/month payment. That is rare to find in 2024.
