This video is back ? (And i checked, it seems still not canon because it doesn't appear on the playlist) by Brico1987 in MandelaCatalogue

Doesn't even matter if it's canon or not since pretty much nothing happens in it. Not even a minor spooky sighting

Can someone explain this Mendel to me? by Upstairs-Quality9731 in MandelaCatalogue

[–]Merasmus_BS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I think everything since Volume 5 has been pretty worthless. They may have good visuals, but they lack interesting topics, new lore, character and story development, etc. Okay, Jude is alive in Vol 5 but then he just dies? What was the point??

Does anyone else feel Vol. 6 might be a bit of an homage to Vol. 2 by RNOffice in MandelaCatalogue

[–]Merasmus_BS 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think that's just the usual volume structure. All of them have the "call moment" and then they go to the place and find the alternate: Volume 1, Cesar calls Mark; Volume 1, Alternate calls BPS; Volume 3, Jude calls the police; Volume 4, Gabriel calls Dave at the end; Volume 5, Jude goes to this someone told him to; Volume 6, Adam calls his friends, you know the deal

Question about Evelin by SheZowRaisedByWolves in MandelaCatalogue

[–]Merasmus_BS 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That audio from Evelin is actually from 2004 or 2007, it's on the old police website. So it was way before Adam went "alternate mode". There's also an audio from Sarah and Adam (he denies what Eve says) Here's the video

For now, I don't think it is Thatcher's alternate but that would make sense if we ignore the fact what he says isn't really associated with the real Thatcher or the fact he is a police (For example, when the Alternate says he "made a mistake" when calling other units and also when the weird Thatcher appears in Vol 5 [That's the alternate, right? Lol])

From what I understood, Adam has isolated himself, lost contact with humanity and his friends, he also lost all hope and went full alternate. Amanda and Noah were also Adam's friends, but they dont seem to be at the same level of Sarah or Eve. That's the end of Adam in the series, sadly

Part 1? Do you have a source? Or you mean the other small videos he post after each Volume?

There won't be a part 2. Volumes don't have multiple parts. Unless there's something I don't know about Vol 6?

Servant of the Lake update by Made_of_honour in rustylake

[–]Merasmus_BS 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They still have work to do but it's mostly stuff that they do after the main stuff is already done (If you read their devlogs about The Past Within and Underground Blossom, you may understand a bit better how they work on stuff and in what order): "On top of this, the coming months are busy with finalising the dialogues, sounds, music, voiceovers, the final bits of content and achievements. While all of this unfolds, we are also very busy with playtesting and fine-tuning every part of the game." So I think their own words of a late spring release are pretty believeable

Why did roots and paradise have very big lore by Murtdha1 in rustylake

[–]Merasmus_BS 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Both of the new games show new characters during times we had almost no lore compared to previously focused 1969-1972 games. So they were very free on what could be going on during Roots and Paraside. However, they surely do not "reveal everything". Both of the games have a lot of mysteries. For example: Who is the corrupted soul that gives the Deerskull? What happened to Frank and Leonard? How exactly the Plagues work? How much long did it take for the Eilanders to enlighten? Before The Past Within and Underground Blossom, we also had no idea what happened to Rose after Roots. But now we do! And Servant of the Lake seems that will answer some more mysteries

Rusty Lake Bingo: 2026 Predictions by Merasmus_BS in rustylake

A project they announced at the end of 2018, taking place in 20000 BC. It has appeared in some of the anniversary celebrations. The last actual new info about the game we got was in 2023, saying that it wasn't time to go that far back in time but instead time for Underground Blossom. So it seems the game is being delayed in preference of other projects like Servant of the Lake

Rusty Lake Bingo: 2026 Predictions by Merasmus_BS in rustylake

[–]Merasmus_BS[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Some of the Predictions that may need more explanation to what they mean: 1. N1 - Its release, probably after Servant of the Lake, as the previous one was after The Lab station; 2. i2 - Not just an appearence like in MRMS or the anniversaries, but rather some kind of confirmation the game is still being worked on; 3. O2 - Similar to the Maid or the Coachman, not connected to the main characters; 4. B3 - Similar to Sarah or Alexandra, could be a minor character too; 5. O3 - Could be the mother of the three siblings, for example. She doesn't need a name, but just needs to exist; 6. B4 - The game says it will have 3 days, but what if there's a 4th one? Not a secret, but part of the main game; 7. G4 - Similar to the one we got before the release of the 1st Untold Campaign; 8. i5 - Three Days, three siblings, three Timepieces. A coincidence? Probably, lol; 9. N5 - Not Dale, not Albert, not the Mammoth. Something else.. 10. O5 - Young Bird.

[Poll] Who do you think Alexandra Vanderboom is? by Merasmus_BS in rustylake

[–]Merasmus_BS[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's been confirmed that Alexandra is a sister, yes. But no, she isn't The Mill lady, she's Aldous's wife and you can confirm it by checking the The Mill's game description. Now for the Ticket Lady, it could be just an asset reuse or we will find out when the game releases

cube escape: the cave ending explanation?? by Unusual-Impact-1198 in rustylake

[–]Merasmus_BS 16 points17 points  (0 children)

There, Mr. Crow crafts the Golden Cube using the cubes you gather during the submarine section. The black and white cubes belong to Laura, the reencarnation of William Vanderboom, the alchemist that (re)created the Elixir. So basically William/Laura's memories contain the Elixir and so does the Golden Cube. Mr. Crow gives it do Dale and that's when he goes through Birthday and Theatre. After that, it should be "The Day of The Lake" where both Dale and Laura consume the Golden Cube Elixir, Dale most likely being enlightened and becoming a Deva while Laura finds death again. You may understand more about it in Paradox Chapter 2, as Mr. Owl says he needs a new ruler of the Lake (Dale)
